Shame. I liked Stuart too but he did make a bit of a mess of everything this week.

I had a feeling John was hungover, he looked terrible!

Think it was right that Stuart went. Loved that Brendan won star baker - he looked so emotional!

John made me laugh with his comments about wearing a lower cut vest top!

James is still my favourite.

I know very little about baking (other than eating the end results), but the general standard seems higher compared to last year. The stronger bakers from last year were I think more obvious from the beginning, whereas the field seems a bit wider this year.

Or I could be talking rubbish .

Stuart always has hungover/been swimming too long eyes. The man needs some Optrex! (other brands are available)

Just as Brendan was serving up his mandarin surprise whatsit, I actually said to DH 'it looks like something my mum would have done in the seventies' - just as MrH concurred?

really like Danny, as dh says,she seems the most normal.

Do we know more about Brendan's personal life yet or haven't they shown him at home?

Dani is really stepping up her game! I think she's encroaching into James' territory. Nooooooo! James to win! :)

Top 3 - Danny, James and Brendan. Next to go - Manisha then Ryan. still a bit disappointed about Victoria though - it's a shame that one bad week can undo all the good before. Heigh ho - what do I know!

Cathryn annoyed me intensely for the first couple of episodes, then I realised it was because she reminds me of me. . She is growing on me now.

I thought the tortes looked delicious, and the meringue things too. I actually liked Brendan's supposedly-70's decoration, when I saw it I said 'ooh, pretty!' I don't see what was wrong with it at all!

I didn't like much last night, but then I don't have a sweet tooth, don't like meringue, or nuts and think chocolate with fruit is a horrid combination.
Looking forward to pies next week, more savoury food, plus I've just bought a Le Creuset pie dish and bird!
