Funnily enough I'm just watching a back episode now on 4od. Why do you think it's so interesting, buggy? Is it about us feeling better about ourselves, because most of us will neither be so overweight nor underweight? I'm not overweight but it's making me feel a little guilty about my probable cholesterol levels.

I love this show but I'm a bit uncomfortable with it for some reason- I'm not sure it actually does any more than be disgusted at people who aren't the perfect weight :(

See, I just couldn't eat that junk if you paid me. My body / appetite isn't wired up to enjoy it.

I'm very aware I shouldn't enjoy watching this, and that really it just makes me feel better about myself

But I do always wonder why they all have to wear dingy looking beige underwear during weigh in. Nobody can look nice in that!

I just said to my son 'why do they have to wear that filthy looking underwear?'

Is it me or does the overweight ones get a far worse time of it on this programme than the underweight?

Its not about just been larger though is it? Obesity is costing the NHS far more than those been underweight. I think this programme highlights the health implications fairly.

I would be huge if I lived in the states. I've only been twice but they drove everywhere (no footpaths in a lot of estates) and the gorgeous food is served in such big portions.

Meglet - did your parents feed you junk food at all? I've read that you set a child's tastes by what you feed them. I've been painfully aware of that with my kids. I try my best but worry that my dd loves butter and hates marg for instance. I try to cook from fresh with a balance of things. My kids are a normal weight ATM! But worry that things will go awry.

Sorry just waffling but can't believe a mother has blamed her child for being overweight. Love this programme btw, is that bad. I love the food hospital too.

I think all that junk food in the states tastes dreadful.
