I'm related to the morecambe family - my nana is always knitting for the newest baby :-)

dizzy77 · 17/01/2012 21:28

I can sympathise with pram addiction. Have 1 8mo DS. Considering pram (well, stroller) number 3. Ebay, mind, but still.

zookeeper · 17/01/2012 21:28

where does the money come from? this is raising more questions than it answers

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2012 21:28

This is making me Angry now.

naturalbaby · 17/01/2012 21:28

hahaha addicted to prams as well! the new baby's got to have something new i suppose.

what do you buy for a woman's 15th baby??

KalSkirata · 17/01/2012 21:28

I think they are lovely but lol at the prams

TheOriginalNutcracker · 17/01/2012 21:28

I have 3 kids and had 16 prams/pushchairs

KalSkirata · 17/01/2012 21:29

He works 80 hours a week. Hats off to them

SlackSally · 17/01/2012 21:29

Grief. Losing all sympathy for Catholic family. Putting her health at risk because it's 'what god wants'.

What God doesn't want is a single Dad left with 11 kids who has to give up work to look after them because they've lost their mum. Hmm

Clots on lungs now. Sad

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 17/01/2012 21:30

I would be pretty pissed off is someone asked me where the money for my pram came from.

perceptionreality · 17/01/2012 21:30

For the woman who's got nine children, it is obviously to do with her catholocism. A friend of mine whose family are catholic told me her mum and dad just stopped having sex after their fourth child was born and accepted they would have to just be friends...

Magneto · 17/01/2012 21:30

The thing that annoys me about the insistence that they keep having children even when problems start to happen is why don't they think that potentially leaving 15-19 children without a mother is wrong? Especially when you know it will leave the older children (most likely girls) to take the mother's place.

Dotty342kids · 17/01/2012 21:30

Are they Catholic? Thought just Christian? Did I miss that bit? She needs to stop for the sake of her health.......

Please tell me she won't have more after the twins, it will kill her! a 5th section, 13th baby, all her other kids without a mum. But I know she'll be preg again after 6 months.

whomovedmyblackberry · 17/01/2012 21:31

Think it's larger family life or something like that. Google Tania and large family blog and it should come up.

Interesting how for the first chunk of the documentary it was all positive and then they got me thinking both mums are a bit unhinged with the next parts.

I have four and struggle with attention giving now.
Cannot see how you can manage with so many.
I think they almost lose interest once past the initial baby stage, and crave thae attention pregnancy brings.

SenseofEntitlement · 17/01/2012 21:32

It was funniest when Susanne only had 13, what with the bakery etc.

Meglet · 17/01/2012 21:33

IMO when it gets risky you stop having more kids. The kids and your health have to take priority.

sodapops · 17/01/2012 21:34

I went to school with a girl who was one of seventeen. Her mum had a girl then a boy, then wanted another girl. She had 14 more boys before she got another girl, who was in fact the last.

I don't know how these people cope, I am often at the end of my rope and I only have 2!

chocolateandcoffee · 17/01/2012 21:34

i'm Catholic, ov not a good one. I could not justify risking leaving my kids behind to fend for themselves. Or leave DH without me to look after them, just cause i wanted more kids. No matter what the church says.

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2012 21:35

I have now gone from Angry to Sad to Confused.
