imagine the bill for dinner...

PictureThis · 17/01/2012 21:42

It's hardly seems a relaxing holiday! They're on pins keeping an eye on all their children.

thegingerwhinger · 17/01/2012 21:43

I would be seriously worried about losing one whilst out and about. I'd be an absolute nervous wreck!

poshme · 17/01/2012 21:43

I found being on beach holiday with 9 kids and 8 adults stressful! (several families together) the thought of 14 kids... Confused

Magneto · 17/01/2012 21:43

My family is Catholic and my nan's mum had 13 children (11 survived beyond children and the last was disabled) . She married "below" her status and her own mother thought she was crazy for having so many children, especially because they were so poor.

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2012 21:43

Imagine the bill for ice creams zoo. Shock

cartblanche · 17/01/2012 21:43

Imagine the GALLONS of suncream you would have to apply!!! I find it tiresome and time-consuming applying it to two.

poshme · 17/01/2012 21:44

Surely easier if they were all dressed in one colour? Something luminous! Smile

Dotty342kids · 17/01/2012 21:44

Oh, that poor girl worrying about mum like that!

Cyclebump · 17/01/2012 21:45

How can you home educate that many kids alone and cater for all of their age differences and needs?

I'm sure people do but the mind boggles...

bringmesunshine2009 · 17/01/2012 21:45

16 towels, rinsing out a million sandy swim suits

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 17/01/2012 21:45

Kal I wanted 6, still do, but stopped at 5.

Feel really sad about it.

sodapops · 17/01/2012 21:46

True cart I was pleased when my 2 were old enough to do each other! By the time she finishes the 14th, it must be nearly time to start again!

thegingerwhinger · 17/01/2012 21:46

I love the idea of such a big family in terms of knowing that the children would always have family and support once we were gone, but I know there's no way that I'd be able to cope with more than the two I've got!

susiedaisy · 17/01/2012 21:46

I think I'm going to start my own bakery it obviously pays extremely wellGrin

oreocrumbs · 17/01/2012 21:46

When do they get a spare moment to make these children? Between working a million hours a week, then taking care of the children, seriously when do they fit time for sex in? Both are prime candidates for being too tired surely Grin

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 17/01/2012 21:47

My mother's pet theory is that women like me who have lots of children do it because they 'go off their DCs when they are not babies anymore'

I find it hugely insulting and offensive.

Doesnt stop her trotting it out about anyone who has more than 3 children though.

thegingerwhinger · 17/01/2012 21:48

And I just can't get my head around doing washing, ironing, cooking etc for that many people. So many beds to change! So many uniforms to wash, dry and iron! Aargh!

Cyclebump · 17/01/2012 21:48

I'm glad someone asked the sex question! When?

TheOriginalNutcracker · 17/01/2012 21:48

I always wanted 4, and i have 3. Now that my youngest is 9 though, i would love another two close together. Shame that I am terminally single lol.

perplexedpirate · 17/01/2012 21:48

I would have to have them bugged somehow on the beach so i could monitor them all on some kind of computer mainframe.
But I can barely work my phone so I'll just stick with the one.

ThePathanKhansWitch · 17/01/2012 21:49

I only have one, and will never have any more nowSad. I do think big family's are great, as long as your not living in grinding poverty.

All my Irish cousins have 5 or 6 children, and they are very happy family's. I do wonder if my dd will resent the fact that she has no siblings.

giraffesCantDonateBoneMarrow · 17/01/2012 21:49

The girls really look like their Mum

Sparklingbrook · 17/01/2012 21:50

Yay chuck em in the basement ready for the new one. Shock

susiedaisy · 17/01/2012 21:50

My nan had six and my mum always said as soon as they climbed off her lap ( my nans) she wanted another one
