Oooh nearly that time of year . As we all know there's no Mitchell , so meet the new vampire on the block Hal .
Tom is back, but I have to say (at the moment ) the pic at top of page looks a bit 'odd' ,there's no Nina , and George is leaving as well .
So big changes !
Who's in ?

I've not cried so much at a programme in ages apart from OBEM so sad!!

I won't be watching the rest of the series. Totally ruined for me now George and Nina are dead. And I loved BH :(

Well I'm completely fickle - I thought I wouldn't be interested once the main characters went but I'm revving up for a crush on Hal now my beloved Mitchell has gone

I thought it was a brilliant episode - I cried a lot, then re-watched it and cried again!

If I could bring one character back, much as I loved Mitchell, George and Nina, it would be Herrick.

I enjoyed it - under the circumstances they did a great job . I sobbed my heart out - every time Being Human has made me cry , George has been involved !

A little disappointed Wyndham didn't make it to this series - seemed a good baddie in the making. Not liking the guy who filmed George and Tom transforming - stupid and irritating , we'll have to see. Looking forward to seeing how Hal fits in at Honolulu Heights.

Was never overly keen on Nina ,loved Mitchell and George but have to agree with Calamity would love Herrick back.

I just watched it again and cried again

Cried buckets along with a few of you. I actually got emotional when they did the re-cap of last series and they showed the clip of Tom holding on to MacNair after he had died. So sad last night though! And how cute was the baby? Absolutely gorgeous!

Just finished watching it. Still a bit confused with all the stuff set in the future, and the relevance of the nipple parchment missing piece, am hoping it will become clearer. Tbf I was watching it with a crying baby in my arms, couldn't pay it my full attention

The baby had a hat on. In her cot. In a stuffy room. S'pose she's a bit too robust to worry about cot death, but still!

I was convinced that the blonde lady in the future was actually Eve all grown up. Wasn't sure when she said what she said at the end. I don't know, am going with my instincts - I still think it's her! When Ron Weasley's dad deciphered that code that final piece was still missing, maybe that final piece says wiping the vamps out would be bad or something. Not sure yet, too soon to tell!

How do ghosts travel in time then?

Maybe that's her supernatural talent - travelling in time I mean.

I'm pretty sure it was Eve as an adult.

But that sets up the whole "If adult Eve kills baby Eve, then adult Eve will never exist, and therefore can't go back and kill baby Eve" paradox.

Maybe Eve's "wiping out the vampires" is a threat to balance, a provocation (in the Cold War sense), so she needs to prevent that provocation. After all, wasn't there rather a bloodbath after Herrick was killed?

Theory 2 is that once the vampires are eradicated, new ones emerge, as in the myth.

I thought it was a cracking start to a new series. I had my doubts when most of the old cast had been written out, but it was a storming episode on Sunday.

Is anyone besides me wondering if Eve is a werewolf, but that she has control over her changing because she was born one? And that's why she didn't change at the full moon because she doesn't yet know she can?

If I were making up werewolf mythology I'd go for she won't have her first transformation until she has her first period - that whole adolescence thing and apparent paranormal activity that accompanies it

Ooh, interesting train of thought, mumwithdice and VidaPierce. This is the sort of direction being taken by a supernatural steampunk series I'm reading (Parasol Protectorate - werewolves, vampires and ghosts in Victorian Britain - and as with BH, the werewolves are the sympathetic party...).

Surely Werewolves don't change till they 'come of age' at some point. See Twilight, old Hammer movies etc.

Although I think she is the girl in 2037 too, we just might not have been seeing her in werewolf mode to full us.

I was sure she was the girl in 2037 too - and had a mini theory that it is her death that ends the vampires somehow, not her life. That's what I think is on the missing piece. It might explain why the Vampire Recorder wanted her alive, though how he would know if it was on the missing piece I'm not sure.

If it's her death, why doesn't she kill herself? Or does it have to be before she turns werewolf the first time?

I thought the episode was truly awful!

What an illogical rush to give some kind of clarity to the ending... Killed George off in first episode and we didn't even see Nina!
They are grasping at straws to try and keep it going, especially with the new characters.. pah!
