Oooh nearly that time of year . As we all know there's no Mitchell , so meet the new vampire on the block Hal .
Tom is back, but I have to say (at the moment ) the pic at top of page looks a bit 'odd' ,there's no Nina , and George is leaving as well .
So big changes !
Who's in ?

Ahhh k get it :o I do like a conflicting phrophesy or two.

peeriebear · 27/02/2012 13:48

I love Tom. I want to give him a big hug :) I could have cried when that mean ghost was saying those birthday party things to him!
However, did they all get the stupid this week? How easy was it for Kirby to mess with everybody- no alarm bells going off with any of them?! "I'd love to hold the baby on my own, Annie" Hellooooo!

Stilla · 27/02/2012 14:48

I thought James Lance was fab as Kirby - a good mix of creepy, funny and downright nasty .
Hal and Tom are great together - those that flounced at the loss of Mitchell , George and Nina (never warmed to her ) are missing a great series.

I'll admit to finding Cutler more interesting after last night . Shock Wink

Is Cutler the one who talks like the kid off Benidorm and Prisoner's Wives? I can't get past that tbh!

Stilla · 27/02/2012 16:44

I find his voice really irritating and have disliked him from the start - but as I said , found him more interesting after last night .

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 27/02/2012 16:45

Do you mean the ending?

Stilla · 27/02/2012 16:53

Well it looks like his story is building - so he'll be more than just an irritating voice !

OP posts:
Merran · 28/02/2012 08:01

Have to say, am really loving it! Aspergery Hal is an Old vampire isnt he? Was Mitchel?

TheSmallPrint · 28/02/2012 12:52

I think Mitchell was too. He was certainly well known.

TheresaMayHaveaBiscuit · 28/02/2012 16:01

Not sure if I should ask this because it might sound a bit dim (I've probably missed something, or got something wrong), but what does Hal eat? IIRC Mitchell worked in a hospital because he had easy access to blood without killing anyone - but Hal has spent 50 years living in hairdressers, and now works in a cafe, so what is he consuming? Hair? Old magazines? Discarded grease from the chip pan?

TheresaMayHaveaBiscuit · 28/02/2012 16:03

I think Hal is a lot older than Mitchell. Mitchell became a vampire during WW1, I get the impression Hal is more of a medieval vintage.

TheSmallPrint · 28/02/2012 16:21

I don't knwo if they need blood to stay 'alive' Theresa, more that they have an unquenchable thirst for it? I say that as someone with no knowledge of vampires at all. Grin

I think you are right about Mitchell.

ifeelloved · 28/02/2012 16:41

Really you all think it's great? Maybe I'm missing something (other than George and Mitchell! Never really fussed about Nina) cos I don't think I'll bother anymore, I find them all irritating!

TheresaMayHaveaBiscuit · 28/02/2012 16:43

Ah, that makes sense SmallPrint! Thank you :)

Stilla · 28/02/2012 16:54

Hal is older than Mitchell - the blog says he's over 500 years old .
'The old ones' must span quite a big age range though as Wyndham (end of last series) was an 'old one' and supposedly over 1,000 years old .

Hal mentioned Ivan - I thought maybe he had been an 'old one' , seems he was a mere 200 n something . Do we know how old Herrick was ?

I have the fridge out of Being Human Series 1&2 in my kitchen
[proud]

plutocrap · 28/02/2012 22:56

The fridge, or the same make/model? Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/02/2012 14:19

What a mean ghost :-(

Glad Annie got rid of him !!!

Eggrules · 29/02/2012 14:33

CuttedUpPear The ACTUAL fridge??

CuttedUpPear · 29/02/2012 17:26

Yes

The
ACTUAL
fridge

The one that Nina used to lean on a lot. And Mitchell put his vampirey hands upon.

And some crockery from their kitchen too.
Could I do tours d'ya think? Smile

Eggrules · 29/02/2012 17:48

Envy CuttedUpPear Grin

Yes please to tours.

If you have cups you need to get Mitchell's mug on Ebay pronto. I may even buy it.

CuttedUpPear · 29/02/2012 18:10

It is a fine specimen of a fridge, very stylish if you remember it. Although I have never managed to get the inside light to work on it. We had to make a new salad tray lid too as the original one was missing........spoooooky! not

Sadly the crockery is all integrated now and I can't remember which pieces were off the set although I could lie

Eggrules · 29/02/2012 21:21

I can't believe your bohemian attitude to famous artefacts. Imagine you could be drinking tea out of a 'George cup', eating toast off an 'Annie Plate@ whilst watching BH. Think of the drinking games...

plutocrap · 29/02/2012 21:43

Grin at drinking games. Mugs of wine in my university days, too!

Occasionally pints of wine.

CuttedUpPear · 29/02/2012 22:25

Well if I had a Mitchell induced swoon every time I opened the fridge I would be black and blue all over!
It is a brilliant fridge though she says again....with big chrome handles and curvy cream colour.

DP also has Nigel Havers' cummerbund but that's another story...
