wow, great outakes ,& yes I agree some of them should have been left in as they explain a lot, Peter/Patricks departure for example.

and shedding light on Sir R and Mary's relationship; not sure whether cora will ever feel able to really tell Lord Fatty B about Pamuk though. MAYBE strangely she thinks it would rush Lord Fatty into making them marry immediately? They're all so ambivalent about him Cora wants it and then she really doesn't. But it would have been good to have a bit more detail.

Also, while I came to like the new and improved Mary, I do think her edginess was erased too thoroughly to be credible. The Lavinia scene should def have been kept.

Aaw - no Downton to look forward to tonight. I feel empty.

Ladies (an assumption here) I have only just, today, been introduced to life at the Abbey...I am, suitably, in love

I have seen episodes 1-7 (DVD) ...can anyone tell me what follows this and can I see them on iplayer? I have severe withdrawal symptoms,please help

series 2 is out on DVD as well. Some may still be on tivplayer but the beginning of series 2 has probably dropped off by now.

The deleted scenes were fab, so why were they axed? Especially loved the one with Lavinia & Mary.

Have just watched the last two eps. I love Bransyb more than ever.

Some of the story lines were ridiculous but I did love it so.

Lavvie's backbone in that scene - not sure, was pathetic the way she immediately begged Mary's forgiveness. Mary looked sooo snakeish in that scene, quite scary. "Well, we won't forget it."

My mum things Sir R did away with Vera, as he went to London on the same train as Bates, but came back in the car with Lav later on. Alibi???

I also think Sir R killed Vera. I did as soon as she died. I have high hopes this will be discovered in time to prevent Mary from marrying him (actually he'd get strung up back then wouldn't he, so she would be freeeeee eventually).

Am sad DA has finished. but it was getting weaker and weaker, each week. Am still loving Broadwalk Empire, which is getting stronger and stronger each week.
Loved Garrow's Law before. Dh and I can't wait for this series. have Sky+ it and now just can't wait to get my teeth into it.

I didn't realise it had finished. Got myself all psyched up for a Sunday night Downton fix and it was nowhere to be found. Garrow's Law just didn't cut it.

I think Sir R probably had Vera killed too. He won't swing for it though - too rich and powerful, would get it pinned on someone else. Hmmm...Bates-y.

Why would Sir R have Vera killed, though?
