Can I tell you about my dream last night?
I heard that the actor who plays Matthew was casting for a role in a play and decided to rock up and try out for the role. Comes out to get me from the waiting room, chin covered entirely in angry, weeping, red acne. "Oh he's not so good looking in person," I thought. Realise I can't walk away because I'm supposedly an actress, reading for a part in a play.
"I see you have brought a copy of the script, you must be a big fan of [x], well done. Here's the version we're using though." Starting to feel uncomfortable. I'm not a big fan of [x] really, never heard of him before I'm just here to see you. Wondering at how he hasn't sussed me out yet.
So, I kick off, and he's sort of looking at me, realising I sound like I'm basically reading a story to my children. "Can I give you some hints about the style we're sort of looking for?"
"Yep." He explains something.
I then go: "Well, really I've not acted since I've had my children ever before in my life. I'm feeling very vulnerable."
Then it was clear it was all over and I had to wait outside or something. I think I read about three lines.
That's all I can remember.
