I still need to talk about it.

Oh a plot twist for series three? Who killed Lord 6? It'd be Dallas in fancy clothes!

Georgimama · 10/11/2011 11:05

georgimama you are truly a DA character

Yes but one of the peasants. My landlord is a Duke. These places still exist!

ScatterChasse · 10/11/2011 15:14

Just his Lordship, Cora would be shunted off to the Dower House (actually, if Violet were still in residence, I suspect Matthew would let Cora stay on at the hall).

diddl · 10/11/2011 15:53

Could you imagine if there was Violet, Isobel & Cora still living & in need of accomodation!!

So, what´s going to happen to bring Sybil back in series 3, or will she be a minor character?

Anyone thinking that it´ll go past series 3?

Animation · 10/11/2011 16:41

I think they're going to have to kill off Lord G to get things moving on a bit. I doubt he'll be missed too much by the viewers. He wasn't very attentive to Cora when she was at death's door - and he kissed Jane a lot whilst at the same time condemning Sybil for her love choice. I wonder if he did go all the way with Jane or if it was just kissing.

ThePsychicSatsuma · 10/11/2011 21:39

I predict a riot sybil and pickle do not marry

beacuse sybil is staying in, and they're not filming in Ireland

OP posts:
LadyHarrietDeSpook · 10/11/2011 22:18

I was sure they'd knock Lord 6 off this series, and pass to Matthew.

CheerfulYank · 11/11/2011 06:03

I really, really hope Picks and Syb marry. I will be gutted if they don't.

Fiderer · 11/11/2011 06:54

I stand by my prediction that Branson dies in the war in Ireland. It would make a nice conundrum for Sybil if he were shot dead by a British soldier, causing her even more grief as she'd only ever seen soldiers as the honorable wounded.

They did marry though and she brings home a son. Violet is thrilled...

CheerfulYank · 11/11/2011 07:30

:(

CheerfulYank · 11/11/2011 08:14

At this point I would rather Matthew died. Or Lord 6 or anyone but Bransyb or Banna.

ThePsychicSatsuma · 11/11/2011 12:46

if lord g dies, would Sir R make a play for Cora
the dowager house would be overrun

OP posts:
diddl · 11/11/2011 13:38

If Matthew dies though, it´s like starting again.

Mind you-an heir who´s a labourer with a wife & kids already might be fun!

CheerfulYank · 11/11/2011 15:49

I know Matthew probably "can't" die from a storytelling perspective. But if I had to pick between him or Bates or Branson....well, sorry Matty. :)

NanBullen · 11/11/2011 18:31

article on DA in vanity fair this month has jf saying that series 3 is the last series and will cover the 1920s.

Nice photo of joanne froggatt all done up posh like as well.

ThePsychicSatsuma · 11/11/2011 20:41

oh. I think they should go on , do a 1930's series, then a ww2 series, then a 1950s ....

OP posts:
HermanMumster · 11/11/2011 20:58

They could go backwards, too. Victorians, Georgians, Tudors ...

ThePsychicSatsuma · 11/11/2011 21:31

oooooh when would it have been built though - was i Georgian?

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 12/11/2011 09:18

Probably built on top of a Tudor place. Yep it could go back in time to the Romans and beyond Grin

HermanMumster · 12/11/2011 13:03

Pickle could be the chariot driver. In a little mini tunic sort of thing. Slutmaid would 'look after the towels' in the bath-house.

MercyDulbottle · 12/11/2011 13:59

Actor who plays Matthew is in the times magazine today, the photo has been processed in photoshop to make his eyes look extra pale and bright and mesmerizing (and i know it is photoshop, because i am quite good at photoshop and i know how to do the eyes thing.)

LadyHarrietDeSpook · 12/11/2011 15:14

Can I tell you about my dream last night?

I heard that the actor who plays Matthew was casting for a role in a play and decided to rock up and try out for the role. Comes out to get me from the waiting room, chin covered entirely in angry, weeping, red acne. "Oh he's not so good looking in person," I thought. Realise I can't walk away because I'm supposedly an actress, reading for a part in a play.

"I see you have brought a copy of the script, you must be a big fan of [x], well done. Here's the version we're using though." Starting to feel uncomfortable. I'm not a big fan of [x] really, never heard of him before I'm just here to see you. Wondering at how he hasn't sussed me out yet.

So, I kick off, and he's sort of looking at me, realising I sound like I'm basically reading a story to my children. "Can I give you some hints about the style we're sort of looking for?"

"Yep." He explains something.

I then go: "Well, really I've not acted since I've had my children ever before in my life. I'm feeling very vulnerable."

Then it was clear it was all over and I had to wait outside or something. I think I read about three lines.

That's all I can remember.

MarthasHarbour · 12/11/2011 16:49

LadyHarriet Shock gripping stuff!

i am dreading tomorrow night, i shall be all forlorn without my DA fix Sad

Fiderer · 12/11/2011 17:04

Poor LadyHarriet. Withdrawal symptoms.
Dr Fid prescribes much sympathy, laudanum and gin.

Cures most things.

Bossybritches22 · 12/11/2011 17:22

The few interviews I've seen with Mathew talking naturally he's quite gorgeous & flirty nothing like the stuffed shirt Mr Crawley character!
