I've just seen a segment from the new series on The Culture Show, Brix and Lund are the only characters reprising their roles and there are less episodes than the first series, but according to Sofie Grabol it's on a higher level and more in depth! Cannot wait until next month!!!

Mmmmm, didn't see that coming.
Anyone notice Strange's transluscent ears in the final scene or it is me comparing him to Nosferatu all the time??

teejwood · 10/12/2011 23:00

smugmumofboys · 10/12/2011 23:04

Oh phew! But if it is Holst's evil older brother, have we seen him? I've been plodding along thinking that the killer has been in plain sight since ep1 a la Christie. Is this not the case?

I may have to

teejwood · 10/12/2011 23:06

mel even though he did get his kit off twice, sogaard does nothing for me, sadly.

we really need to check out whether there are any more clues in the form of tattoos on jens and strange
Xmas Wink

teejwood · 10/12/2011 23:09

smugmum i think this is the bit where we are being led a merry dance like the leon frevert misdirection in series 1.

RoginaInWellies · 10/12/2011 23:12

Sogaard is creepy but has more normal ears than Raben or Strange (I think of Strange's more as 'elfin'). Probably not a clue, though.

teejwood · 10/12/2011 23:12

rogina probably as good as any

Xmas Grin
MelinaM · 10/12/2011 23:46

Umm I'm liking your plan teej Xmas Grin

OP posts:
florenceuk · 11/12/2011 00:05

Wouldn't Holst have killed Raben first, and why kill the lawyer - doesn't make sense for it to be him.

teejwood · 11/12/2011 00:19

agreed florence - it's such a cheat to roll out a killer we had never seen or heard from until the last couple of eps, which is why i really don't think it's him.

but he probably knows something - has some vital clue.

in fact when you think about it, all the relevant parties have bits of the puzzle to themselves:
a) buch - evidence there was a cover up with the medical reports that helped pass a bill that gave more resources to continue the Danish effort in afghanistan
b) jarnvig - there was a call from special forces in the area 5 days beforehand so sogaard or whoever was manning the radios (bilal?) lied
c) lund - re strange and holst's video journal

the pace was so frantic i'm still grinning from ear to ear Xmas Grin

Foxinsocks · 11/12/2011 08:03

I chuckled at Buch's au pair comment!
And was screaming KISS HER fgs when Strange and Lund leaned in close

peggyblackett · 11/12/2011 08:51

I still think Strange. Would be a twist to realise its him when she is thousands of miles away . Shame, as I want him to be lovely.

vjg13 · 11/12/2011 14:20

Oooh it was so good last night. Will be in withdrawal next weekend. Grin It must be Strange.

wildstrawberryplace · 11/12/2011 19:05

Is there anywhere online I can buy, beg, steal or borrow The Killing II with English subtitles. I can't wait a week! I have to know now.

Blackduck · 11/12/2011 21:19

Bugger. I will be on a beach in goa next weekend. Dp is taling iPad I am hoping for shit hot Internet connection.........strange? Yes, no? Brix riding to the rescue? Has Lund got it SO wrong again....

diddl · 11/12/2011 21:52

The guy who had Raben´s FIL arrested-why is he so insistent that it´s Raben?

LePruneDeMaTante · 11/12/2011 22:01

I think it's unlikely to be Frederik Holst (is that the brother's name?) - why would he brutally kill the woman who wanted an investigation into what happened, if he was angry at the perpetrator/coverer-uppers? Not to mention he cooked up the True Believer agenda and all that. It doesn't make sense to me.
And why are they flying off to Afghanistan when they haven't even got a proper motive for him?!

As for Strange, Special Forces could simply be lying about him not having been in Afghanistan at the time of the Perk thing. I guess he could still be undercover, couldn't he, within the police? Reporting back to them on....what? Hmm.

They did point out that JP Raben was sure that the soldier he was beating up was Perk, until Strange walked in: that doesn't make any sense. I like how initially we're supposed to suspect that he's sane (if stressed) but being kept against his will, and now he does appear to be really damaged and a bit insane.

Bilal has always been kept in the background, bit odd, that. I hope it isn't him, that would be a bit Taggart (who's the unlikeliest person, let's give them the last ten minutes to show you why they did it).

swanker · 11/12/2011 23:50

Does anyone know which minister Special Branch come under?

Are Special Forces part of the military, or separate but under MoD?

LePruneDeMaTante · 12/12/2011 09:06

I know that what's translated in the subtitles as 'Special Branch' is maybe more like our MI5 (acc to a Dane I know). Special Branch suggest coppers, MI5 suggests intelligence services. I think both would report to the Home Secretary here (????) so would that be something like Minister for the Interior in Denmark? (Just guessing.)

LePruneDeMaTante · 12/12/2011 09:54

Acc to Wikipedia, Jaegerkorpset (Special Forces) is a branch of the Army.
