I am counting down to Sunday where they show Harry looking over the edge of the building at a nasty car crash below and Lucas legging it down the stairwell

It's the last series Sad. Apparently they decided to go while the going is good. I expect that means they'll kill off the whole cast. Perhaps just after Harry and Ruth get it together?

Voidka · 13/09/2011 07:39

How can they put Spooks up against Downton. Dont they know that people want to watch both!

warmandwooly · 14/09/2011 11:35

starts this Sunday excited!!

TheSmallPrint · 14/09/2011 15:52

I can't believe there are only 4 of us waiting with bated breath?

And me , and me !
But why , which idiot did the planning ....
Spooks BBC 1 9pm
Downtown Abbey ITV 9pm
Yes obviously there's Sky plus andDHcan'tcopewithDowntonAbbey-- but DS wants to watch strike back project on Sky 1.....
Harry , or the Earl of Grantham ? Hum tough choice..

TheSmallPrint · 15/09/2011 14:14

I don't have Sky +

tbh, I didn't watch the last series of Downton so probably won't watch this one either so I'm just excited about Spooks. I fear their viewing figures may have plummeted beyond all recognition if this thread is anything to go by! Grin

I love Spooks. It's a shame it's going. Perhaps there will be a spin off.
I was thinking DS2 might like Downton (WW1 stuff?) although I can't stand costume dramas.
Doilook - how about you sky plus two of the three programmes and watch the 3rd via free view?
I just sky+ everything as I never watch anything live and it's often months later when I get round to watching stuff.

TheSmallPrint · 15/09/2011 16:35

Do NOT let your DS watch StrikeBack Doilook, it's not like the first series at all with gorgeous John Porter it is all americanised and full of gratuitous sex and very graphic violence Sad.

According to the roundup there are loads of Spooks threads?? Perhaps they are in code as this is the only one I've seen.

TheSmallPrint · 15/09/2011 20:43

I've not seen any either Squirrels Confused

I will probably sky plus Downton Abbey so I can watch it when I'm ironing , ( several times ) we will watch Spooks , and DS will have to find his awful programme on repeat somewhere .

TracyK · 16/09/2011 16:11

Can you not watch Spooks on bbc iplayer and I'm sure Strike Back is repeated in the week?

TheSmallPrint · 18/09/2011 10:01

So, today's the day bets on the opening scenes?

PassTheTwiglets · 18/09/2011 16:01

Well now, I can let you all into a secret. I have actually seen a secret preview of the opening scene and it goes like this:

As per last ep, Lucas plummets off building. Cut to scene of me installing giant, invisible trampoline below. Lucas bounces onto trampoline and then rebounds into my arms. He declares "oh Twigs, forget Sarah Dogfield and Maya and that Russian bird, there has never been anyone else but you" and we then snog for the next 45 minutes. So that's this week's episode.

Just wait until you see the deleted scenes on the DVD :o

TheSmallPrint · 18/09/2011 16:17

No, no, no Twigs, it's more like..

cut to scene of Lucas legging it down the stairs and into a waiting taxi which I am driving, he jumps in the back, sees that it's me in the front seat and sits back with a Footwell face knowing that all will be well in the world.

Next week, join us as Lucas and Small lounge around on a remote island being served Polish cordial by Adam.

Footwell face :o :o :o

Yes, he is pleased to see you driving - because he knows that you are under Harry's orders to drive him to my bedroom office, where I plan to debrief him thoroughly.

TheSmallPrint · 18/09/2011 16:24

Did someone say something?

Panzee · 18/09/2011 16:58

I can't actually remember what happened at the end of the last one.

TheSmallPrint · 18/09/2011 17:06

That's becaour your mind has refused to absorb the frankly ridiculous and devastating story line that the script writers dreamt up over too many beers Panzee. Feel free to add your own version of events.
