Dimitri has matured and Tariq has a knowing look in his eyes which could be interesting. I agree that the new girl and unfortunately the new man are a bit meh. No doubt they are both evil and cause all sorts of ishoo's. Still looking forward to next episode though and as I HATE Downton Abbey am not going to be too plagued by the scheduling clashes! :)

DH said he doesn't want to watch it as it's the final series, a bit like when you panic on last chapter of a really good book. I really hope Harry & Ruth die together at the end, it would be too meh for them to walk off into the sunset.
I am predicting that Sascha will take Ruth hostage and Harry will be forced to choose which one lives.
In the meantime, you are all wrong, Dimitri is 10x more gorgeous than Lucas ever was!

Ooooh, no, Small - Tariq was alright last series but he has an awful slicked back, dodgy parting hair thing going on this season. Dimitri is the way to go now, trust me. #Spy Candy.

Oh yes I think Dimitri is hot (I always preferred him to Lucas anywho). I like Tariq.
I think the new chick (Isabella) has too much hair and glamour to be a spy. I miss Ros. She was nails.

Does anyone else think that Harry will turn out to be a Russian spy? Thats my tip for the explosive ending.
I agree Dimitri is hot hot hot. Not keen on Lucas North. Didnt like his nose! HATE the new girl and boy. The boys is an uglier version of Adam Carter.

I would like to see Tom Quinn pop up, after all he is still alive as a decommissioned agent

I confess that I'm a wuss - I could see where the Lucas storyline was going and refused to watch most of the last series. Lucas is happily retired in a log cabin by a loch waiting for me to join him.

If Harry or Ruth turn out to be traitors I swear I will never ever get involved in watching another series of anything - ever. My feelings about the exH running off with the OW will be nothing compared to my sense of betrayal if Harry is not the god good guy I believe him to be

I think we can safely assume - as the plots of Spooks have grown steadily more preposterous since series 1 - that in the final episode Harry will be unmasked as a transvestite FSB agent called Olga and everyone on the Grid will die as a result of eating poisoned doughnuts, ordered just before his demise by Lucas North/John Bateman. Meanwhile, everyone ostensibly working for the CIA will be shown to be working for the FSB and vice versa.

All this is a great shame, as in many ways I have always thought sad, crestfallen Harry - the still centre of the maelstrom, the one who regularly outwits (and occasionally executes) Home Secretaries - has been the most interesting and under-developed character of them all.

Omg, am so glad I watched downton last night (mainly as DH is in IT and makes scathing comments about spooks and their Macs all the way thru)- totally agree with earlier comments- who is annoying new girl, what is with the way she talks! Has she botoxed? Is she American and trying to do a Bridget jones? And yes, all that l'Oreal hair is going to totally mess up a crime scene. She needs a sabbatical shadowing Lund in Denmark...

Think it is a sign of my age and ennui... Used to love rupert penry jones this show...

Did Lucas die at the end of the last one? I find it hard to concetrate on the plot sometimes .

Is this one going to be one long storyline all the way through? We always play 'guess the baddie' of the week before it starts, will it be the Chinese, Russians, Serbians etc.

I'm not sure about Dimitri - I need a bit more shirt off action to decide whether he's going to be a good agent or not. Like Tariq though.

I'm still hoping that Adam's not really dead and will come back at the end.

Poo. I series linkd Downton Abbey despite dh's scoffing (missed the last series) and utterly failed to notice Spooks was on at the same time.

Will try to watch tonight.
