Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

hab i think brix thinks lund is a bit off her rocker so doesn't pay attention to some of what she says. he wants the case closed so it looks good for his clear-up rate and keeps his political masters happy by taking the spotlight off city hall...

teej · 21/03/2011 20:53

bad luck wigwam! did you return him with a note saying "i think you'll find i ordered the bengt-a-like - please replace by return" Grin

wigwam1973 · 21/03/2011 20:55

I know Teej. Just my luck! Sad

Habbibu · 21/03/2011 20:59

Do we think Bengt will step in to help?

JudithMarie · 21/03/2011 21:05

The loo was due to be delivered on the 1st Nov. Do we know when the order was cancelled?

crunchbag · 21/03/2011 21:21

A theory I read elsewhere was that either Morten or Rie discovered the bloody bathroom and thought Troels was involved, so he/she is getting rid of evidence/protecting him.

HarlotOTara · 21/03/2011 21:36

Hi can I join in? This has been the highlight of my week and I will be very sad when it finishes. I haven't read all the thread as it is so long but...

I am wondering about Rie and her contact in the police is there one? She also seems to know an awful lot about all sorts of stuff - deinitely a bad'un.

Also what happened about the old police boss who was forced to retire - why was it never followed up. He deleted phone numbers on a list very early on but we never knew why.

Why is Nana the daughter of Pernille and Troels? Can't see it myself. I also don't think Vagn or lon are the murderer but Leon knows more and is very scared,

Very sad about Meyer dying and think he was killed by the murderer, or at least by the person who shot him who may or may not be the murderer

atswimtwolengths · 21/03/2011 22:20

Hi Harlot, and welcome.

Does anyone else ever just burst into laughter at the thought of all of us just tearing our hair out over this?

Crunchbag - agree that Morten or Rie would protect Troels, but can't understand why they wouldn't clean up the flat and leave it spotless, rather than (as Bremer suggested) leaving a crime scene untouched for 2 weeks.

crunchbag · 21/03/2011 22:48

wigwam, that's what I was thinking as well but maybe they wanted to clean the flat themselves rather than having to explain (pay off) a cleaner and didn't have time because of the campaign?

Too much thinking, my brain hurts :o

muminlondon · 21/03/2011 23:22

I'm glad Bremer mentioned the state of the flat though - it didn't seem credible that they would leave it like that.

Do you remember the caretaker just after Pernille publicised a reward who said he was fixing the toilet when he heard people in the flat? Lund dismissed him because she thought he was just angling for the reward. If only she had heard the toilet conversation between Rie and Troels.

"Whoever ultimately killed her was unlikely to have been opportunistic, it seemed too planned."

Agreed. I first thought Vagn had spotted Nanna and Amir and got into a rage but that doesn't add up as the killer came well prepared (condoms, rubber gloves etc). So Vagn must have known about Nanna and Amir, that is probably where Leon comes in. Vagn got Theis and Pernille out of the way and then carried out his plan.

The flat, uhmm. Nanna put up a bigger fight than Vagn had anticipated? The flat was an unexpected detour of the plan and Vagn panicked? Leon was told to keep Nanna in the flat and she again she fought?

Also the woods. Nanna came to and ran for it?

Habbibu · 22/03/2011 10:00

Oh, we need The Killing names for next Sat! Can I have JanMeyer, as it was my idea?

thebestofyou · 22/03/2011 10:23

crunch good theory about Naana coming to and running into the woods to escape. This would mean she was being held nearby-where was Meyers cottage located?
Also the fact he came round after supposedly gassing himself and the door was open ?????

crunchbag · 22/03/2011 10:28

I just thought of another theory regarding the passport (blame it on Harry Potter's horcruxes). In the first episode, Theis shows Vagn the new house and tells him iirc that the cellar is going to be converted into a room for Vagn. So Vagn has kept the passport as a throphy (souvenir) like he did with Mette's necklace and is already putting it into his new home.

Habbibu, you can be JanMeyer :o

crunchbag · 22/03/2011 10:32

thebest Troels' cottage was ruled out by forensics, wasn't it? I don't know if they checked out any other cottages in the area.

Morten probably guessed where Troels was and opened the door.

Blackduck · 22/03/2011 10:49

CB - yes it was, there was blood, but from fish, and that was it...

UpCrack · 22/03/2011 11:25

Just popped in to have a look - can't believe how many posts on the second thread!

thebestofyou · 22/03/2011 11:33

Oh Damn thought Id cracked it then ! I think this is the main key to the puzzle- how did Nanna get into the woods?
Cant wait for saturday -name changes a brilliant idea-off to do mine now!

SarahLundsJumper · 22/03/2011 11:39

Do you like it?

Blackduck · 22/03/2011 11:41

UpCrack - but is anyone close ;)

GhostOfNannaBirkLarsen · 22/03/2011 11:48

Tis I, Lulabellarama

TooTiredtoGoogle · 22/03/2011 12:24

Can't keep up with this thread, it moves so fast!
But, juts wanted to pop in to say that I'm loving all the name changes.
BTW - DH thinks it's Rie's dad. Morten too obvious and not high profile enough

Blackduck · 22/03/2011 12:36

I would name change to SarahLundsOtherNotSoNiceJumper but I am crap at remembering such things :)
