Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

No, it was Lund talking to Pernille, thebestofyou. She is there about the video rental card and she sees a picture of Nanna on the wall and says that. I think they'd found the body then, hadn't they?

I thought what Bengt did was unforgiveable really. He didn't tell her because he wanted her to come back to the middle of nowhere with him. Disgraceful.

OP posts:
thebestofyou · 13/03/2011 17:46

Hmm might she refer to them as Mum and Dad even if Pernille wasnt her real mother ? Would also explain the age gap betwen Nanna and the little boys ?
Bengt is now getting on my nerves !

thebestofyou · 13/03/2011 17:48

atswim - it was really bugging me Thanks !
Disregard all the drivel I wrote above then -back to the drawing board !

Blackduck · 13/03/2011 17:49

No I think she was their first baby (very young) - remember shes says how they had run away....and then they built the business before they had the boys.....

wigwam1973 · 13/03/2011 18:04

If anything, I think it more likely that Theis isn't Nanna's father. Perhaps Pernille was a bit wild in the old days and got preggers with Nanna before running off with Theis. There was some speculation on here a while ago that perhaps Nanna was Pernille and Troel's love child! Confused.

Oh, we've had some great theories so far. I wonder if anyone has actually hit on the right one yet?

Habbibu · 13/03/2011 18:07

checking in...

atswimtwolengths · 13/03/2011 18:08

I think the bit about Troels' love child was just projection on our part!

something about the light..reminded me of what wigwam said earlier this morning about the lift comment that Troels made. When questioned by Lund, Troels said he had got the lift up to the flat, but Lund caught him out by saying the lift wasn't working. What if the lift WAS working when Troels got there but someone messed with it after he left, to trap Nanna? I guess that's what Wigwam was alluding to?

Really good point on the necklace possibly being something Nanna found in the place she was held, which would also have been where the other girl was kept....I had thought it was like a trophy thing, that the killer gifted all his victims with the same necklace...but maybe it was just a necklace that had belonged to girl #1 which NBK found.

why hasn't Lund looked through the other archives yet? Or am I being too impatient and they'll cover that next week?! I can't wait THAT LONG!!!

I thought that too Cornerstone (along with my clever theory re: the life Wink). She definitely had about 5 different files to look through. But I suppose she's still got 4 (only 4 ) episodes to fill, so we'll just have to sit back and wait impatiently...

In one way I can't wait to know what happens, and in another I wish I was watching the first episode afresh. Oh dear, I sound like such a saddo. Sad

Maybe I need another Wine

wigwam1973 · 13/03/2011 18:25

life, I meant lift! Doh.

I do have a theory on life but perhaps now isn't the time or place...

cornerstone75 · 13/03/2011 18:28

ROFL at Wigwam... "Here is my theory on life, love and everything".. (I think that may have been the tagline for Seventeen magazine..)

I agree that I don't want it to end whilst being desperate to know the outcome. Like a good book, I'm jealous of people I recommend it to who get it start it from the beginning, all fresh and new, like... (looks wistfully into the middle distance)

OhBuggerandArse · 13/03/2011 18:29

I thought that just choosing the one girl to follow up was supposed to be an example of Lund instinct, actually - the other two were rather different (& plainer) looking, the one she did choose to investigate reminded me of Nanna a bit - same pretty round face - even though she was darker. I thought we were meant to understand that she just realised which girl was the related one.

Except that Bengt chose that one to investigate, too, which might scotch that theory - unless it's further evidence of him being a bit dodgy &/or having inside information?

atswimtwolengths · 13/03/2011 18:41

cornerstone do you mean they are untainted by all of our theories?

OP posts:
atswimtwolengths · 13/03/2011 18:45

Very good theory about the lift. Troels was certain it was working at the time.

I do doubt Theis' paternity, actually, but I don't think it's going to matter.

One thing I'm unsure of - why did Nanna's boyfriend take Theis to such a remote place? Why didn't he just ask to speak to him in private? I didn't understand that at all.

OP posts:
wigwam1973 · 13/03/2011 18:47

I know, Cornerstone. I am pushing it at people left, right and centre. Even people I know who don't watch much TV Hmm. I feel a need to spread the word....

Oh, and are we talking 'just seventeen' magazine? They were the days . Shows my age though.

cornerstone75 · 13/03/2011 18:48

erm yes, I probably do atswim Wink

So true about the ridikalus location... not really sure why? Maybe so he could run off and not be found for a while? It did give me the heebeejeebies at first tho as I thought he was going to whip a gun out of that record bag.

atswimtwolengths · 13/03/2011 18:50

Yes, I did too!

Wigwam, I've been asking everyone if they're watching it, but nobody has admitted to it, yet!

OP posts:
cornerstone75 · 13/03/2011 18:51

That was it, it was Just Seventeen (think Seventeen is US version, je ne suis pas une Yank)
Showing my age too, that and my Smash Hits hey-day speak.

I've bored everyone to death banging on about it tried to push people to watch but the Danish thing seems to be a barrier. It doesn't sound too glam to be fair. That and the fact they'd need 16 hours to spare.

Blackduck · 13/03/2011 18:53

Atswim - I wondered about that too - why the hell are we at a container park in the middle of no-where!!
I also felt a bit sorry for Holck at the airport, all those shots....
I can't work Brix out at all, at one moment he tells her to back off and essentially insinuates she is obsessed and nuts and the next moment its all buddies again...wtf?!

Fivecentsplease · 13/03/2011 18:54

Could the lift error have been in simply to show that Troels was pissed and didn't really know? He's been there many times before, and used the lift: It's the kind of mistake that makes his version more plausible, maybe?

cornerstone75 · 13/03/2011 18:58

Brix is a tool who studied at the Academy for Smug Bastards. I just think he wanted the whole thing to go away tbh, Lund is just a pain to him. I loved when she said "You just all want me to shut up"..how true, and made me love her even more for carrying on regardless.

Fivecentsplease · 13/03/2011 18:59

But the remote location was worth it for the moody cloud scene. Wasn't it because he was steeling himself to admit that he and Nanna were an item?

Smile at the Just Seventeen/Smash Hits refs - ah those were the days! Already clocked the 40ishs with the Billy Corkhill trap ref!!Wink
