Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

Ooh thanks teej for the applause [blush} .... I may have been spending a little too much time with the pause/play button on iplayer.....

Some other details - Bremmer says to Troels 'we're the same but you don't know it' and then the reporter says to Troels ' I'm trying to help you but you can't see it" . Immediately after that Troels does see something - Rie and Dessau, and he has a look as if the scales fall from his eyes ...... (loved the bit where he is pacing along in front of a row of arches/niches on the wall behind him - again, bit of a religious image)....

So was the Rie Dessau discussion him asking her to deny it to save his job? Whatever it was, she said "nej".

Fivecentsplease · 21/03/2011 16:42

Blush, even!

wigwam1973 · 21/03/2011 17:19

five, I too loved the bit when Troel's witnessed Brie/Dessau having that argument.

Where's that lip reader from the laundry when you need her???

wigwam I think (If you look at Iplayer) that Dessau says "That's my red scarf" and Rie says "no, it's mine, gerroff" [dessau tries to grab it] "gerroff I say, buy your own from Bremmers Red Accessory shop" ...and storms off. Dessau mutters "stupid scarf" and huffs off.

wigwam1973 · 21/03/2011 18:07

five - I did wonder if Dessau was saying 'fancy a quickie on my desk, you little vixen?', but on reflection, think your version might be closer to the truth. Grin

I thought we had covered it before, way upthread - Blush - very sorry if that is not the case. Sad

atswimtwolengths · 21/03/2011 19:33

Can any of you wise women help me here? It's about Lund's gun.

Where was this gun prior to Meyer (RIP) being killed? Who was holding it?

Didn't Meyer take it from the car, or did he have his own gun?

I know someone clarified it up thread a bit, but funnily enough I can't find it. Don't know why, there are only a few posts, after all!

I know that Meyer was killed with it, just couldn't remember whether he was holding it to start with.

OP posts:
Habbibu · 21/03/2011 19:41

Meyer took Lund's gun from the glovebox, I think. One of the things that's so brilliant about this is the way in which it shows how politics and the quest for power will use anything to gain points - some of them will have been involved in Nanna's death, or various cover-ups, but all of them in the political arena are using it, grotesquely, to further their own end. It's hideous and compelling.

wigwam1973 · 21/03/2011 19:44

Atswim - didn't he rummage for it in the glove box? As someone rightfully pointed out, Lund's gun was in the hands of Shagabout, and Meyer's (RIP) was due to be returned to him. Is the car officially Lund's, or shared with Meyer? Not clear on that.

Habbibu · 21/03/2011 19:49

Hang on - did Lund not get her gun back?

crunchbag · 21/03/2011 19:59

Just watched the last 2 episodes, and I am still very in the dark.

Do we know whose cottage it was that Theis and Pernille went to?

Vagn, I can kind of imagine him spotting Nanna and Amir and getting in a violent argument with Nanna but the other things re city hall etc doesn't seem to tie in somehow.

crunchbag · 21/03/2011 20:01

I just realised I won't be able to watch the final until later next week Shock. I will have to put this thread on hide come Saturday night!

teej · 21/03/2011 20:04

the guns - a recap

at holck's, lund finds the white car then goes back to her own to call for backup
finding her mobile and car keys gone, she rumages in her glove compartment for her gun
she carries the gun back into holck's garage, he bashes her over the head and the gun falls from her grasp onto the floor

meyer arrives carrying his own gun from his own desk and shoots holck

his gun is then taken away as part of the investigation into holck's death and by the time of his own death it has not been returned.

lund's gun is back in her glovebox where she always keeps it andneverhasitwhensheneedsit. when meyer realises lund is in danger he fishes for lund's gun as he does not have his own and carries it into the warehouse.

the killer attacks meyer and the gun drops to the ground whereupon the killer picks it up, thinks "nice one" and murders meyer so he can't identify him Sad

hence lund's gun kills meyer

Habbibu · 21/03/2011 20:12

yy, teej.

Another thought - Lund virtually accuses Brix of trying to put her off, does she not? The hall light, the lift, the open door in the flat, etc - and iirc he doesn't deny it. So what's that about?

atswimtwolengths · 21/03/2011 20:15

He doesn't deny it because he doesn't know what she's talking about, maybe?

So if the gun hadn't dropped (and why can't they have it on a bit of wool, going through their sleeves?) then Meyer wouldn't have died?

Was anyone else screaming abuse at Lund as she locked the warehouse door on Meyer?

OP posts:
aloiseb · 21/03/2011 20:24

Thank you teej for gun recap. I was dreadfully, dreadfully sad about Meyer, but the least we can all do for him is try to work out who did it....

Smile at the person who pointed out the characters on their way to get medicine for sick children always come to a bad end.

Agree 100% with all who were saying "now tell daddy WHERE you found Nanna's passport" to the TV. I was sayin some very bad words under my breath when poor little Anton went down into the basement, too.

the Birk Larsens haven't told the police about Amir's video yet, or have they and I missed it? May be a ghost of a theory in that. have a feeling Theis is invovled at some biblical level or other.

oh dear i watched my catch-ups on Sky+ until 2am last night - argghh - then been at work all day zzzzzzzzzzz)

PS Does anybody else think Brix looks like Herr Flick on "Allo Allo"? (it's the way he walks)

funtimewincies · 21/03/2011 20:29

Evening, long-term lurker shuffling in late Blush.

Dh and I are addicted to 'the Danish programme' (we don't like to say 'The Killing' in from of 4 year old ds Grin).

My theory is that Leon is the driver and the murderer but that he procures the girls for someone else, the person/persons who raped her. It had to be someone reasonably fit to chase her through the woods but that doesn't mean that the rapist/s are too.

I suspect that the Lithuania trip was sex tourism and that there is a group of men of like-minded perversions at city hall (the mayor, Hoeke, Rie's father possibly, etc.)

teej · 21/03/2011 20:36

at atswim's gunmittens Grin

bettys · 21/03/2011 20:36

atswimtwolengths me and dp are till snuffling with laughter at the idea of detectives with a length of wool in their sleeves so they don't drop their guns!

teej · 21/03/2011 20:39

welcome funtime !

teej · 21/03/2011 20:43

ohhhhhh have been meaning to say and thanks for reminding me funtime - i think whatever happened in latvia is going to come out at the final gasp for troels in terms of the election campaign.
it may well be dessau who drops bremer in it, given that bremer has given him the big heave ho.

remember what holck said about the trip - they all went to latvia together but quite soon thereafter bremer and dessau split from holck.... so whatever the real bad dirt is from that trip, dessau holds the key Wink

teej · 21/03/2011 20:48

aloiseb if we are a representative sample there has been a veritable nationwide chorus shouting at the tv over the past 9 weeks, starting with "look at the ruddy file" and "look at the ruddy boots" to "shout for mummy and daddy", "take the passport to mummy and daddy" and "don't go into the warehouse alone" and "be careful meyer!!!!! - oh no!!!!!Shock"
Grin

wigwam1973 · 21/03/2011 20:49

did we ever find out who else was on that trip? Ree/Oliver's father - or is that just wild speculation?

Oh, and saw a DHL driver today who was the spitting image of Shagabout (Holck), greasy hair and all. Delightful. Smile
