Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

Fivecents I reckon he'd remember climbing several flights of stairs, non?

Grin cornerstone. I would have liked to study there!

wigwam1973 · 13/03/2011 19:01

I think the Danish element makes it sound quite exotic. Well, not exotic perhaps, but a bit different. Moody and stylish, perhaps. Well, that's the spin I've been giving it, anyway! Some people hate subtitles though, don't they? And it is true, if you blink you miss something (like Leon being the taxi driver, for example).

cornerstone75 · 13/03/2011 19:01

I loved the moody cloud scene at the end too, of the van on it's own against the sky...they cut away too quick!

wigwam1973 · 13/03/2011 19:04

Oh yes, Smash Hits too. Class. Always found it hard to believe that Kate Thornton was an ex-Smash Hits editor. But I digress.

Back to the matter in hand. Agree about the container park. Very odd.

cornerstone75 · 13/03/2011 19:05

True about some folk hating subtitles...I don't get that cos I'm all sophisticated and watch French films an'stuff

I will use the subtitles as my excuse for totally missing the fact Leon was the cabdriver though!

Fivecentsplease · 13/03/2011 19:05

A cheery one for your screen saver!

Fivecentsplease · 13/03/2011 19:06

Sorry that was to cornerstone, re clouds

muminlondon · 13/03/2011 19:10

Did anyone else think Amir was preparing to throw himself off the bridge?

Blackduck · 13/03/2011 19:10

When they mentioned that Nanna was flying from Malmo I thought 'call in Wallender'!!

I also liked the way Meyer asked where her mother was and when she didn't answer he left it :) The boy is learning.....and for those who are harbouring a weird crush on him I can see it :)
Have to say for just fab acting (not fancing though) I think Theis is hard to beat...He is almost motionless and let expresses so much feeling.

Blackduck · 13/03/2011 19:11

Amir - Yes....but not out of guilt....but they do need to know who else knew!!

jammietart · 13/03/2011 19:32

ohh keep us posted!! I am very rusty on One as I think I did about 6 in one weekend and its all a bit of a blur..

thebestofyou · 13/03/2011 20:11

Me too Blackduck- I watched all of them this weekI was so desperate to watch yesterdays episodes.

thebestofyou · 13/03/2011 20:17

I found it interesting that shortly after Troels socked it to Bremer regarding his knowledge of the financial irregularities -the tape of Holke and Nanna appeared on Lunds doorstep- ? Bremer wanting to ensure they still believed it was Holke ??

muminlondon · 13/03/2011 20:18

If Leon pops up in episode 1 I'll feel less bothered about his sudden appearance in episode 16. Might have another look.

muminlondon · 13/03/2011 20:20

I'm thinking that whoever sent the video was also the hall lurker.

TooTiredtoGoogle · 13/03/2011 20:21

With another 4 episodes to go, I'm convinced that Leon will be another red herring, and his investigation will reveal relationship between Theis and man in Turkish restaurant. Maybe Leon was spying on Amir and Nanna on behalf of Amir's father?

In the meantime, did anyone else notice that Holck never referred to Olaf by name, always as the civil servant. Something tells me that there is another civil servant involved and that he is the serial killer. Could it be Holck's administrator? Or, Bremmer's advisor - Olaf thought he was working for Bremmer, so it had to be someone close to him.

Also, I keep thinking about who stole the CCTV tape and then who sent it to Lund? I wonder if it is Rie who maybe found it amongst Oaf's things? I too thought Rie looked very much like Mette (girl who disappeared 15 years ago), and wonder if there is some kind of link ??? Maybe Rie was adopted by her politician father and Mette stayed with real father, though Rie knew about her ???

Sorry, my head's just spinning with theories.

cornerstone75 · 13/03/2011 20:26

Oooh has anyone read this:

www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2011/mar/13/the-killing-sofie-grabol-sarah-lund-interview

Got so over-excited when I came across it in the paper had to come and post the link...haven't even read it myself yet!

OhBuggerandArse · 13/03/2011 20:36

Is lovely, but does contain a (not core plot-related) spoiler, so watch out if you'd mind that!
