Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

OP posts:
muminlondon · 20/03/2011 17:26

I'm pretty sure Nanna is Theis and Pernille's daughter. But why does Vagn feel the Birk Larsens are his family? Theis is certainly acting like a father to him. What is that loyalty about?

bettys · 20/03/2011 17:41

How did Nanna get hold of Mette's necklace?
Did the killer put it there to lead them to Mette's body or did she take it from the killer to provide a clue?

Fivecentsplease · 20/03/2011 18:11

Hmm Bettys there are many theories on this - is it the same necklace, or one of many, given like a calling card. Or did Nanna find it on the floor of the place she was kept in. Or did she snatch it from the killer/accomplice....or....?

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 21:20

Oh, bloody hell. Just caught up on iplayer - didn't dare come on here yesterday or today until I had. Cannot believe Meyer's dead, just when they did the whole friend thing between him and Lund. I was prepared to believe he might not be (filming v ambiguous) until the damn series 2 spoiler thing. It's a PITA - they make a great double act, and he's a great character.

Brix was carrying leather gloves at the hospital. I think he wants to get Frevert out of the way, as he must be the link to all of it, as you're all saying. Fuck, though. Really don't want Meyer to be dead...

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 21:25

And Leon must have had reason not to go to the police, so maybe the killer has police connections - they always seem to know what the police are up to. So, for that matter, does Rie. Who is her contact?

Fivecentsplease · 20/03/2011 21:38

Where was Morten on the Friday night? No-one has ever filled in his weekend, apart from the Troels suicide thing. He's looking more shifty. There are 2 triangular relationships to look at - Theis, Pernille and Vagn, and Troels Rie Morten.

Yep Habibu, someone did not want Lund to get to Leon.

I expect Leon will be bumped off next by Gloveman.

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 21:53

I still don't think it's Morten. I think he's beginning to see things about Rie and putting two and two together.

DarrellRivers · 20/03/2011 22:19

Like the triangular theory

I have Leon telling Vagn or Theis that Nanna was in the flat/running away/sleeping with unsuitable men something like that.
Perhaps Pernille was involved as well
Them getting her and trying to stop her ever doing it again and holding her hostage in the house
By mistake someone dumps the car in the canal not knowing Nanna is in the boot.

And Vagn and Theis are tied together for eternity because one of them killed Mette and the other helped get rid of the body.

The politicos perhaps raped Nanna or sexually assaulted her and so are trying to cover that, but a second duet or trio of Troels, Morten and perhaps Rie

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 22:25

that doesn't really explain multiple rapes, nor Theis's reaction, darrell. I think it has more links to past - Theis may have been a thug, but not really serial rapist/killer, I think.

Finbar · 20/03/2011 22:26

LAte Suspect arrival alert... I am deeply suspicious of Leon's brother.
I think Leon knows exactly how deadly he can be and went along with things he asked him to do -like get rid of evidence etc. I also think he could be a convenient link to the smart business set....

Absolutely shocked by Meyer....and VERY cross with Lund and yet another of her loopy late night evidence seeking schemes

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 22:27

Oh - didn't read your post properly. Doesn't ring true for me, somehow.

DarrellRivers · 20/03/2011 22:28

Habbibu it could be anyone really though, some evidence will be produced in 19/20 that we knew nothing about
Grin
I just feel I have to produce an unlikely rare theory so that I look really clever in the unlikely event I am correct

DarrellRivers · 20/03/2011 22:28

Could it be the Bagman?

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 22:29

x-posts, Finbar. Hope it's not the brother - like the suspect in plain sight theory. Leon v much in trouble somehow, enough for Brix to do anything to stop him talking to Lund.

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 22:29

yy, Darrell. I'm going to look damn stupid if it's Morten...

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 22:30

Bagman? Remind me?

DarrellRivers · 20/03/2011 22:34

Have been watching Waking the Dead tonight and they have some real/imaginary character called the Bagman who frankly is very scary.
No, sorry, he wasn't in episode 4 Grin

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 22:38

Ok! was it not enormously disappointing after The Killing?

Guardian blog (didn't read comments) v good, and point out how utterly isolated Lund is - can only hope Bengt hangs on in there and explains more, but I worry about his links to Brix.

Wolfgirl · 20/03/2011 22:39

finbar - yep - he is on my radar too Wink

Wolfgirl · 20/03/2011 22:41

darellR... oooh that Bagman was spooky. DH had gone out, and I swear I heard noises.

DarrellRivers · 20/03/2011 22:43

wg, you are so right.
I need to go away from all the patio windows downstairs

[shudder]

Habbibu · 20/03/2011 22:58

Ooh - you don't suppose that Meyer will save the day from beyond the grave? Brix said he was recovering, so maybe he had come round, and has told his wife who shot him, and she'll have a tussle over whether to tell Lund, who she blames for Meyer's death?

muminlondon · 20/03/2011 23:51

I can't imagine his wife being keen on talking to Lund though.

MinnieBar · 21/03/2011 07:28

Blush ignore my previous claim to have a theory about why someone wouldn't be in the next series ? I either mis-read that interview or just completely forgot ? I was thinking of someone else!!

Agree Meyer was finished off - but why? I mean why did the gloved man shoot to kill in the first place - presumably he could have made it out of The Creepy Warehouse of Bad Lighting without shooting anyone. So was it a warning to Lund - we can get you too? She's too close?
