Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

aloiseb you said...anyway, what i would like to know is why did Shgaround have that equipment handy to tie Lund up? he even had gaffa tape to gag her with

But... don't forget, when she sent him out to look for non-existent 2nd phone, she sawed off her hand ties whilst Holck stratched around looking for the tape... so not readily to hand? if he had used it recently, then he would have known exactly where to look.

Mystery cleared? Tick. Smile

Wolfgirl · 16/03/2011 16:50

sorry, meant to say... when he came back in from the hunting 2nd phone, he scratched around looking for tape - which bought her some time to get on with escaping!

Fivecentsplease · 16/03/2011 16:59

And, hmm, Lund was tied with rope, not plastic box ties.

teej · 16/03/2011 17:01

ah but therein lies the beauty of the plot proles! there is a point to the political thread both in its own right, as the cause of another murder and as a part of nanna's story:

  1. nanna's death has touched city hall and because of that a lot of skeletons have been exposed that otherwise would have remained dust-ridden. in fact, bremer may have intended to frame troels for the party flat being used inappropriately in order to discredit him during the election campaign. he was looking for dirt, by all accounts. the way things have worked out, because of the investigation into nanna's death things have backfired and bremer has been shown to be a lying manipulator.
  1. in addition, we have a second murder (by shagaround, of olav) that may not have happened if lund were not investigating nanna's murder.
  1. and it could be that the affair with holck was what set vagn off on the path of wanting to make nanna one of his "special ones"

Boxhead? Skinny knees? sounds more like Spongebob.

Blush at our mean-ness to Holck.

I have been lurking on this thread but wanted to add something into the mix. I'm convinced this new house of Theis and Pernille's has something to do with the murder. It seemed a bit shoe-horned into the plot that Pernille suddenly changed her mind about the house. I had a spooky feeling she was going to discover something whilst on her own at the house, and blurry in the foreground at one point were some plastic bottles (ether?). Also likelihood of there being an exposed concrete floor quite high.

Habbibu · 16/03/2011 17:43

hmm, bondgirl. They're quite big on foregrounding key objects for a while - the globe was one such example. The house does seem to be coming up a lot, though maybe when they move out they'll discover something in the garage?

wigwam1973 · 16/03/2011 18:11

Thanks, Five, that's.....er....delightful. His lips really are sausagey, aren't they? Beginning to wish hadn't chosen to eat with DC tonight. And don't feel guilty about our mean comments. He was planning to do something fairly nasty to Lund, don't forget.

Teej, I think your theory makes sense. I think Vagn stalked his other victims after being involved with their moves. I'm not sure what triggered him to unleash his inner demons. You're right. I think he fancied NBK for some time, and that photo on the pin board was definitely a kind of shrine to her. But he couldn't bear the thought of her leaving him and going abroad. I did wonder, for a moment, if he could be NBK's father, but admit that's probably a step too far.

Proles - I'm with you on the box ties.

Bondgirl - I'm sure Vagn had access to the new house, and could have used it as his base.

wigwam and proles - you are right indeed about the box ties - just looked on iplayer. But that is really odd as it would be very lame to have Holk as the murderer. Can't say I have a box tie fixing thing knocking around though. Would they be a standard piece of Danish home kit?

Holck is in his relative's garage at this point - so he has a pretty amazing knowledge of their DIY stuff, unless it was in his boot.

Do we know the white car is definitely his white car? And could his rello be anyone fishy we have met?

Fivecentsplease · 16/03/2011 18:37

Just checking the Iplayer ep16 - ho yus, he does admit to killing olav, as he kept pressuring him, but not Nana.

Wolfgirl · 16/03/2011 18:57

ANyone manage to record the series? IF so, anyone fancy being kind enough to make copies and post out?

wigwam1973 · 16/03/2011 19:01

Five - I'm pretty sure DH has some box ties lying around that he got from Homebase, so pretty readily available here. Can't speak for Copenhagen though, that's true. Glad to report that so far DH hasn't shown any sign of using them for anything other than fixing ugly leads together (quel relief)!

Pretty sure Meyer had Holck's name and car on that list (the one he was reading when Brix asked where Lund was, and Meyer realised she was in danger).

PRoles I definitely hope we find out what the story is with TRM and Theis...

Habbibu · 16/03/2011 20:45

I think it's not Vagn - he does seem very tied to the family as a whole, and he's like a child of arguing parents wrt Pernille and Theis.

Fivecentsplease · 16/03/2011 20:53

I think the relationship is strained between TRM and Theis because they have argued over Nana and Amir's relationship: TRM is full of wedding plans when Theis comes in, and saying sorry for N's death when actually it has solved a problem for Karim = tense relationship

Vagn seems scrunty, but loyal to Theis.
