Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

proles so do you think it was to keep amir and nanna apart because they knew they loved each other since childhood?

They seemed good friends, DS is telling me, as TRM said Theis could stay rent free until they sorted themselves out.

Hmm - well perhaps TRM had simply banned Amir from seeing Nana, as he had other plans for him- and Theis took the hump as her father.

One thing is certain - we'll need more than 4 episodes to sew up all these loose ends!

Wolfgirl · 15/03/2011 18:31

fivecentsplease - is that picture meant to be Troels?

Troels??

He has blue eyes in the drama... this picture shows him as having brown.

Darn it.... another mystery!!!!!!!

Blackduck · 15/03/2011 18:35

Proles - i agree something serious happened between Theis and TRM....he actually says 'tell your wife she can stay as long as she likes'. He clearly did something to Theis - but what?

Wolfgirl - no not Troels - his brother, (or rather the actor's brother)

Blackduck · 15/03/2011 18:40

Think it was three or four....

crunchbag · 15/03/2011 18:50

I don't think it really matters what happened between Theis and TRM, I think it's just background to why Nanna and Amir had to keep their relationship a secret.

How did Troels get to the cottage again? Did he call a taxi?

Wolfgirl · 15/03/2011 18:50

ahhh got it! Mads is the brother of Lars...

Here...

Wolfgirl · 15/03/2011 18:52

Loving the thread. Do need to find the whole episodes again though... dh desperate to watch (as am I)

I have a thought\question - purleaazzeee. Lund picked up at least 4 files of other girls gone missing, but only focussed on one... Mette. And that was 15 years ago - yes?

The link to current day, is the necklace. Leaving one to think that this is a seriel killer. The next episode or two really must find Lund opening the other files to find a connection, else why allow other files of missing girls be introduced anyway? Unless, the other 3 files, Lund has explored but found no link (however, this leaves the audience unappeased).

We (the audience) must understand if there is a link with the other 3 girls\files. The last 'disappearance' was 15 years ago... that is a long time between killings (yes, assuming Mette was killed). What was the length of time between the disappearance of the other girls? Mmmmm... unknown, you see!!!! We need an answer to that too.

I agree with one poster (way back earlier in the thread) that what is happening here.... is that many lives are being scrutinised and exposed because of this crime. Nanna is the catalyst, like an octopus, whilst the legs all connect to the body, but might not possibly have anything to do with each other at all...OR, unwittingly - they very much do, with all parties being unaware Hmm bit like 6 degrees of separation (facebook) - someone knows someone who someones that you know...

sort of thing... sort of Confused

Fivecentsplease · 15/03/2011 19:13

Did the missing girls search focus on Kopenhagen or was it a nation wide search?

Maybe the other missing girls can be linked as well but Mette stood out because of her resemblance to Nanna. They have start somewhere :)

Fivecentsplease · 15/03/2011 19:17

Hmm, Well , it looks nice: Nicer than those only-example-of-bad-scandi-interior-design-item dice paintings of Lund's Mum.

OhBuggerandArse · 15/03/2011 19:18

OK, some thoughts about TRM/Theis/politics narratives. I think it's more plausible that TRM banned the friendship between Nanna and Amir, knowing that Amir would be marrying someone else. Hence the intolerance, if any, is from his side.

Think about the political narrative - Troels' big idea is all about integration - so it would make good parallelism, and good sense of the side by side story lines, to have the Nanna story being about intergration too. Troels, of course, is dealing with getting Danish people to allow other cultures into society; with the Nanna story (if we're right) we have the other culture not allowing the integration themselves.

Overall moral message will be about the manifold dangers of the failure to integrate.

No idea who that might mean dunnit, though.

crunchbag · 15/03/2011 19:21

prolesworth I had a similar hunch for a short while, contemplating a revenge killing, but then thought if it was revenge the killer would have made that clear to Theis (I read too many crime thrillers me thinks Blush

Wolfgirl · 15/03/2011 20:36

crunchbag you asked... How did Troels get to the cottage again? Did he call a taxi? Not too sure about that, a taxi was mentioned... from when Troels was at his flat and decided to go the cottage. But it was also mentioned that one of their black fleet cars was seen at the cottage too... was that when Morten turned up, perhaps?

As for taking Troels clothes to the dry cleaners, could Troels have thrown up because of the drink... and Morten just took charge to sort him out?

I still hold Troels as a suspect... although I don't want to. He seems to have good morals, and this will certainly fly in the face of moral goodness should he turn out to be the butler. Also, he is still pushing really hard to stay in the game, why would he do this, knowing that the crime has received huge attention, he is already in the public eye as a suspect; would he really want to continue- knowing he could be exposed at anytime? Unless...

he is a phycopath (spelling??), or has amnesia?

Also, if it was him, and Morten was there to help him and be his alibi... how comes the flat was not cleaned up? And what about the emails? Don't forget, he was not at all happy in the first episode or second (forget which) with Rie snooping around to find out who had sent a mail to the police claiming one the black fleet cars was used in the crime. Perhaps he didnt want her then snooping some more into his mails too?

Who else could it be.... let me think. I still believe that the 3 missing girls must have a link, and we need to know what is in their files.

Oh, and why was Lund drawn to Mette's file, over and above the rest, why was this one bought to our attention. We were briefly shown a form with writing, of which I believe gave the Mette's status as being a student, and some numbers... other than this I could not see what stirred Lund to investigate this one over and above the others..

I think we will find out a lot once these get explored.

Rie has something to hide for sure... but I don't know what. She said she won't walk away from the campaign (after split with Troels) as she had a lot invested there.. was this sponser money, other political motive?

BRemmer is just a political creep, he is my suspect number 2.

Holck said he couldnt kill anyone, I believe him. But what of the car in his garage? Was it HIS house they were at? Who else had access to it? Why did he knock Lund over the head? He was going to shove her in the boot of the white car, so he knew the car was there... covered up, so equally he will have known it had been in the hit and run; Perhaps under stress - because something else linked him to Olav was going to expose some other sin that he was involved in? Perhaps this 'sin' is totally separate to the Nanna crime? No, that's not it. Olav clearly spoke to Bremar in the underground car park, about renting out the flat, to which Bremmer denied any wrong doing or knowledge of. Liar me thinks.

Nannas family - nope, not them. Vagn is a red herring; Leon... red herring.

Amir's father... suspect number 3 for me.

Last thoughts... concerning the Biblical connection. Could the theme be 'repentence'? Theis.. he has pretty much come to his senses about his past, he also said sorry to Rama; Troels did not take his life, understanding it was wrong... not sure he repented though. Lunds has shed a tear or two when Bengt left her...

Phew... lot of questions. Over to you guys now.
