i felt a bit sorry for john too although i can see he comes over as a spoilt sulker. he must however make a real atmosphere sitting at the desk with everyone. so much of it reminds me of the industry i used to work in although without (mostly) the pretencious 'darling' shite

grumpypants - lots of the little mini-me dollies with the curled hair and lipgloss don't get picked. My kids turn up in jeans and t-shirts, lucky if I remember to put any lipstick on myself, but they have had a fair few jobs. Casting directors can see through the whole look-at-my-wonderful-child in seconds, they know what they are looking for and so long as a kid is clean, polite and cheerful they'll be picked if they are right for that job.

DD1 has an odd mouthful of adult/child teeth at the moment, less jobs for a while so I'll see if she's still interested when the calls come through again. I would have serious doubts about letting her carry on into teenage years, and no way would I let her go to America on her own at 16 even if she wanted to - if I were the mum I would have gone, let India go to the job by herself if she wanted but been there if (when, in this case) she was unhappy.

she said she he was home from school at the weekend. Yes, she is like Linda Robson!! I dont know how she can work with them, they are all so annoying, I couldnt stand it!! I bet they burnt out young though.

That Paul bloke annoys me hugely. Everything he says is to suck up to Carol with things like "I can't stand the way he stresses out Carol", and he's constantly hugging her and patting her on the head. It's so fake, though I don't think John has done himself any favours. It's obviously not ideal having to all sit together if they are constantly talking and interrupting you, but if that's how the office is laid out you have to play ball and join in sometimes. No-one is saying be best mates, just good work colleagues.

When they measured that model in the underwear and she was a 36inch hip or something, I measured myself just to compare and I was smaller than her and Ive had a baby!
Ive always been tall (Im 5"8 at least now) but couldnt believe Id be thinner than her as she looked like a stick!
