I was strongly reminded of Adam & Joe's 'the 1980s house' sketches. Bets that one of their kids is going to start shooting up heroin while the other demands Pop Tarts and a sandwich toaster.

It is possible he's her son and I think someone suggested this early on in the thread.
However, when they were talking in the cafe, he acted as if he'd only just met her so if she is, then he doesn't know it.
