Did anyone see this last night?

The trainer said they are in the gym 4 times a day "no room for slackers." It must be a short session with plenty of recovery time!

I thought Davina's was a bit odd.

so confimed she likes muff ladies :)

was she once a porker? SHE SAID she had been there .....

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/03/2011 16:13

Def one for the ladies!
And Paddy was so giggly ( and fairly fit ) and we thought looked like the lead singer of the Script?

We have a way to go before we reach the final of the USA version surely?

ValiumSingleton · 01/03/2011 16:34

Are Will and Paddy a couple? I had thought Paddy was a bit goodlooking and then I read today in the paper that he lived with Will.

DuplicitousBitch · 01/03/2011 16:37

i don't think they are a couple, though i did think they might be at one point.

ValiumSingleton · 01/03/2011 16:41

Thanks DB

Is he taking Will on holiday with him!? I think he is! They're obviously very close.

DuplicitousBitch · 01/03/2011 16:42

hopefully, and they can spend all of will's money only ghastly watches and man rings (is that what you do in dubai?)

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2011 19:05

maybe they are a couple??

JeremyVile · 01/03/2011 19:12

I agree that Davina was odd.

Usually like her but she seemed to be faking her way through the series.

Maybe she has just outgrown the ultra enthusiastic schtick?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/03/2011 19:16

Davina was emotionally removed, she never engaged with them I felt, but then hard to if you are just popping in. I was irritated by that fake emotional tremor she used when talking to them.

And i usually like her too!

DontCallMeBaby · 01/03/2011 19:20

Thanks to my PVR failing me I only caught up with the final a couple of hours ago - aw! Aw! It was actually really lovely, I feel quite vindicated in watching it now (it's been my guilty pleasure). Paddy's little face when Wil won - just adorable.

Hee.

Was just saying to DH (who doesn't remotely care) that while none of them are quite slim (yet?) they all looked so much fitter for their size.

smokinaces · 01/03/2011 19:21

Davina was literally a presenter - there for the weigh ins.

Alison on the US one joins them at challenges, and on trips etc. Far better involvement and you can see she really relates to them.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2011 19:22

gaee smoking - tbh davina was a wste of space

smokinaces · 01/03/2011 19:23

I loved Paddy's measurements though - 44inches round the waist to a 34 trouser. And he was the only one at goal wasnt he? He looked slim - the others looked fitter, but he was the only slim one.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/03/2011 19:24

I would have much rather the trainers had done the weigh ins. At least they knew the contestants.

smokinaces · 01/03/2011 19:24

They need someone to present it who is going to be involved in it. Someone who used to be fat and slimmed down - like the one who played Fiz on Corrie, that kind of thing? No natalie cassidy/hannah waterman quick fixers, but a proper life changer.

Am I wrong in thinking Alison used to be fatter and lost weight for it joining in?

I think they should do another celebrity one - but for a full 21 weeks. And include people like Chris Moyles!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2011 21:20

I enjoyed the celeb ones tho Alison hammind lost weight but gained it

Think the tv critic Sharon was the only one to keep it off

Tbh it's easier enough to lose weight but so much harder keeping it off :(

I'm allowing dh some control over tv tonight ( for once ) may watch tonight if not will tomorrow evening

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/03/2011 21:27

I'm actually going to watch tomorrow too. Soon to bed, my early start was to early! Still DD loved her flying day with the Royal Marines, and I am glad I didn't actually have to see her loop the looping and barrel rolling over Glastonbury! I am also glad she is tucked up in bed with no need for her parachute Smile

smokinaces · 01/03/2011 22:02

glad she had a fab day Piste!

I'm watching, but on catch up as had things to do. So far its good - more about the food this week, and nice to watch

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2011 23:03

Hmmm. Well that lasted long. Allowed dh minder then I claimed control again :)

The cooking challenge was good to watch but who wants a starter for 26cals - I prefer the cheese salad Grin

Did think the 5lb advantage was unfair

This competition is meant to be done on weight loss and hard work and
Not on who can cook the lowest meal :(

They all seem to have huge tummy buttons

And sherry didn't get a proper clap for losing 3 lbs :(

Or Stephanie with 2 lbs :(

That's a good weigt loss

I want blue team with sunshine to win .......... Bit alas think black will

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2011 23:22

Bloody hell

I did not expect blue to be able to beat the blacks

And thought no way could lose that amount of weight / think needed 50 lbs

as they had a. 5 lb disadvantage

I'm so proud of my blue team :)

So who will go? Obv mum and daughter won't vote each other off

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2011 23:25

Mr blondes eyes are popping out looking at alisons cleavage and boobs in that pink dress

Elandrews · 03/03/2011 09:35

I found an article about the finale, it makes some controversial claims, but also some fair points I think...just thought I'd share!

Most won't shed pounds seen on ITV's Biggest Loser

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/03/2011 14:46

interesting article but true they only lose so much as not at work and have pt yelling at them

plus agree about the clothes and magic underwear Grin

i would prefer to see them side by side before and after in same shame inducing revealing underwear that they weigh in

smokinaces · 03/03/2011 18:05

I agree that the UK one had definate flaws. The US biggest loser has been much better - especially the week they had them "working" and fitting in their work outs etc.
