Did anyone see this last night?

The trainer said they are in the gym 4 times a day "no room for slackers." It must be a short session with plenty of recovery time!

Why is the grey man (rob) on his own?

I thought very mean about the flag - they were 2secs out :(

Also mean with the wheel of fortune - fab they can win weight off but mean and cruel making them eat cakes/pizza etc - just as rob said why make them eat it wen trying to be good

Hairyjumper · 24/01/2011 21:54

Trainers have zero charisma

I went to Uni with the Doctor expert. He's not really got a great TV persona, IMO.

People crying over a 5 pound weight loss??? I'd be dancing.

Totally addictive TV though

Alambil · 24/01/2011 22:05

Rob's on his own because his partner broke his foot in the first week or something...

I think no-one should get eliminated, but all stay for say, 3 months and then the one who's lost the most wins. I think they should all stay for the benefit of their health... why is everything about kicking people off shows now!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/01/2011 22:23

duh - thanks lewis,course he did :(

i agree, keep them all there for 12 weeks

like they did with im a celeb fit camp

GettinTrimmer · 25/01/2011 10:20

Davina doesn't seem like her chirpy self on this, "will you vote with your hearts?" bleurgh! I suspect it's to appeal to American viewers and she's been told to present it in a certain way.

[bhmm] 5lb weight loss is fab, agree with you there Hairy. Blokes find it easier to shift weight anyway I thought as women have more body fat at normal weight.

The trainers just come across as a bit joyless.

Pleased that Claire managed to stay in.

Rob found that Wheel of Fortune thing especially hard, agree Blondes, he had to stuff that pizza down. I wouldn't have said no to that Millionaire's shortbread though!

There doesn't seem to be any advice along the lines of "don't try this at home" Rob was told to listen to his body but at the same time they are encouraged to just go and go even after throwing up - they've got trained medical staff on hand.

cant be healthy or good for you to keep being sick through exercise :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 13:59

maybe they will pair up claire and rob?

GettinTrimmer · 25/01/2011 14:11

I agree Blondes, makes it not enjoyable also. I don't think I'd be encouraged to take up exercise.

I'll still carry on watching it though. I think Claire or Rob will win they seem the most determined.

Seen it now.

Really felt for them on the task. Just missing it like that must have been galling.

I know that guy hurt his foot but am genuinely surprised there wasn't a reserve person added in. The accident was before they had really started the process.

Was glad Claire stayed.

I'm with Lewisfan on how I'd prefer to see it structured.

For those of us who have tried to lose weight, 5lbs in one week would have us dancing for joy. But they are encouraged to despair. One person said he was aiming for 14. That's a stone in a week. That's hardly sustainable.

Am a tad irritated by Davina.

bathbuns · 25/01/2011 16:10

What happened at the end last night? I missed it. Got to the point when they realised there would be an elimination.

Has anyone used myfitnesspal.com by the way? You can monitor your food intake/calories in the same way as if you paid to use the biggest loser website but it's free. I'm finding it really helpful to use.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/01/2011 16:19

Yellows and blues went up against each other, and the yellows were voted off because it seemed the others felt they were the mostly like to continue to make progress away from the house.

The twist came when Davina announced that only one of the yellow pair had to go, and they had 10 mins to decide between them who was leaving.

Very difficult decision making obviously but they agreed Claire on the left of the team pic should stay.

Now they are going to continue as two teams, each team working directly with a trainer ( so splitting up the previous pairings)

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 18:35

i thought strange they had no spare waif and stray victim people in the wings

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/01/2011 19:01

Blondes - Are you watching the American one as well?

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 25/01/2011 19:13

Blondes - not much point in having a waif in the wings!! [bgrin]

but yes - very suprised there wasn't a replacement as they hadn't really started!

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 25/01/2011 19:14

Oh and I think it was wrong not to give them the 5 pointd for the flag it was there - just not straight up!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 19:17

It sghould be called Fat Freak Show. That's how those people are being treated.

Weekly humiliation of fat people.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/01/2011 19:20

Blondes. Never let it be said that you are not a generous soul.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 19:28
