The trainer said they are in the gym 4 times a day "no room for slackers." It must be a short session with plenty of recovery time!

Yes he did resist them. I really don't like those temptations. As we know, we have to kick all that sort of crap into touch. Certainly not be encouraged to binge on them.

Just seen this thread and thought I'd chip in.

I've seen the TBL US a few times and I can't help but feel the UK contestants aren't losing anywhere near the same amounts. That said the yanks usually are all bigger!

With 2 weeks left I just think whilst they've lost a lot of weight, the couple of weeks where they lost hardly anything has set them back loads and they'll all be still looking very chubby when the finals are up.

Niceguy. I have only ever seen the US version before but what I remember is the finale where they have the before picture followed by them coming out looking like models!

You are right the US bods are way bigger at 30 stone + Some of the UK peeps are 15 stone+ which is big but practically slinky by comparison!

I reckon though there must be a lapse between what we see now and the finale. The UK one looks like it was filmed last summer? The US one was before the vancouver olympics. Maybe that's how we will see a result.

Still not there for Davina. Would rather the trainers did the weigh in as they seem emotionally linked. Ah well.

We don't go to Gunwharf as much as we should, being so close. I should be running up the spinnaker tower (and doing Jillian's 30 day shred!).

I didn't like the glass floor at the top though. I was ok with me standing on it, but I didn't like my babies on it!

I saw a load of biggest loser diet shit for sale in Morrisons, think it might've been cereal bars or summat. Doesn't sit right.

No UrsulaBuffay - you are right, it doesn't sit right at all and is shit. It's all about quick profit, making the most of the programme's appeal. Not about the people in the process. But how typical that is of the world we live in, isn't it?

I don't really see what the problem is - it's not going to hurt any of them to eat apples and nuts for one day?! (me either, I'm not being nasty!).

To me, she should have just been told it's not on - this is putting the black team at a disadvantage and it's not their fault.

Mind you, the huge change in workout may do them a favour

i've never really understood the point in 'cheating' for one weigh-in in any way (dehydration, apples and nuts, whatever..) surely the results just find you out the next week...???

I guess if they do it each weigh in day it will keep it up. They sort their own food out anyway, so I really don't see the problem - it's not like she gave them drugs! Just errr.... elimination food

None of them are really looking like it's almost the end of the series are they?

i seriously doubt they'll get this lot running a half marathon on their last day at the 'ranch' like they did on the US version.

Isn't it more an issue that you don't get to be the size they are without having pretty major food issues. The whole point of the programme is to teach the participants what real healthy eating is. Whilst eating nuts and apples for one day wouldnt be a problem for non-weight issue people it could be the start of a slippery slope back to unhealthy eating for these lot. Rather like the taste challenge they have each week. I'm always amazed that some of them indulge.

Agree with others re the diet products. Makes a mockery of what this programme is supposed to be about.

a couple of weeks back when they lost Ange for the day she showed Rob the website and it said October - so this was filmed before Christmas. Not sure how big the time lapse will be before the final though.

Haven't really watched this but I do know that one of the couples that were eliminated are currently training at the gym I go to with one of the personal trainers...they still look the biggest people at the gym by far - not sure when the final is but I don't think they will be making much of an impression when they return

the UK one seems to have been much shorter and less 'life changing' than the US one is... does anybody know how long they both are?
