X-Factor - Week 2!! Musical heroes.....

Raahh · 16/10/2010 18:21

After last weeks not very inspiring set list, this week the acts are meant to be singing

John Adeleye - A Song For You (Donny Hathaway)

Storm Lee- Born To Run (Bruce Springsteen)

Mary Byrne: Dusty Springfield?s ?You Don?t Have To Say You Love Me?

One Direction: Kelly Clarkson?s ?My Life Would Suck Without You?

Treyc Cohen: Purple Rain

Katie Waissel - I?d Rather Go Blind (Etta James)

Wagner- Help Yourself (Tom Jones)

Cher Lloyd ? Hard Knock Life (Jay Z)

Paije Richardson ? If I Ain?t Got You (Alicia Keys)

Belle Amie ? ?You Really Got Me?

This is an unconfirmed list. Theme wise, it is as tenuous as last week- is Kelly Clarkson really a musical hero to 5 teenage lads?

Looking forward to WagnerGrin

Cher was originally going to do a Tupac "song". Is she contractually obliged to do something involving rapping every week? That Jay-Z abomination is possibly the worst violation of a musical number I have ever heard in my life.

BarbaraSeville · 16/10/2010 18:28

I believe that Rebecca will be doing a Nina Simone song- Feeling Good. Can't wait.

UnquietDad · 16/10/2010 18:30

They should do "Musical Villains". Force them all to cover a song by someone they hate. :)

BarbaraSeville · 16/10/2010 18:31

I only know the Annie version

VinegaRigamorTits · 16/10/2010 18:36

a bit of Katie Waissel gossip for you, i know someone who was on Shipwrecked and she said Katie (then Vogel) used to be their groupie hanger on'er when they had nights out with the PA's, she would hang around like a bad smell and was fame hungry

Raahh · 16/10/2010 18:39

Musical villains would be good.
I didn't even realise Rebecca was missing from the list!Blush

I think the Cher gimmick will def wear thin - ooh, probably this week. And it is a really terrible song anyway.

I get the feeling Mary will be lumbered with the same obvious choices week in and out- i can already see her over-emoting before she has even started....
Her days will be numbered as soon as she is expected to perform 'You're beautiful' by James Blunt (a.k.a x-factor song of the Doomed).

Every year, i pray they will do Death metal week...just for a laugh....

I wonder whose heroes they are, though? Do you think Belle Amie have between them even heard of the Kinks?

I can well believe that, Vinny. Did you read what that bloke from the Apprentice said about her. All very similar. And he actually dumped her when she snogged a famous hollywood dwarf in front of him at a nightclub. How could she stoop so low?

VinegaRigamorTits · 16/10/2010 18:49

Blimey Barb, the girl has no class

i like Rebecca, she comes across as class (for a scouser Wink)

BarbaraSeville · 16/10/2010 18:50

Not a very PC joke, I know Blush

VinegaRigamorTits · 16/10/2010 18:51

BarbaraSeville · 16/10/2010 18:53

S'true though. Grin

MuGGGhoulWump · 16/10/2010 18:55

Signing in.

I'm ill this week so demand would like sympathyGrin

I'm calling out for food shortly if anyone wants to order?

No alcohol, but I have a coffee machine and some B&J cookie dough in the freezer.

I can't wait for Diva Fever, not Jedward obv, but fun all the same.

One of Belle Amie was on Shipwrecked too... what a coincidence...

VinegaRigamorTits · 16/10/2010 19:02

was she? which one? will have to ask my informer about her

Raahh · 16/10/2010 19:03

I hope the stylists spend a bit more on Diva Fever this week- compared to the over production everyone else got, their day-glo cycling shorts and crap dancing were very low-rentGrin

or maybe they are the new Black Lace- I would love to see them do Agadoo!!Grin...or Superman (with all the actions)

Good practice for when they end up at Butlins or on a cruise ship.

BarbaraSeville · 16/10/2010 19:17
Grin

I PMed you, Raah.

IvantaOuiOui · 16/10/2010 19:17

I'm hoping Wagner gets a frilly shirt and velvet suit this week.

MuGGGhoulWump · 16/10/2010 19:18

I'd say slightly.
Not that either are credible.
At least it didn't have the Gang Bang song on it I s'pose.

VinegaRigamorTits · 16/10/2010 19:18

i reckon Cher should to a rap version of Prince Charming (im such a genius )

Raahh · 16/10/2010 19:21

Ooh, i have been PM'ed...
and have even replied...getting good at this multi tasking thing....
