Think my son is involved in county lines

I don’t know what to do

DS14 has completely changed over the passed couple of months. He frequently truants school, secretive about where he is, who he’s with. He lies all the time.

I have found drug paraphernalia such as rolling papers and grinder, he said they were his friends (probably lies).

I have stopped pocket money, confiscated his phone tried to ground him but it makes no difference.

He often sneaks out at night and I found he recently had a burner phone.

If I call the police and he’s working for county lines he will get hurt. He also has plenty of unexplained cash.

Sorry how far did you have to move away. Thank you

This is absolutely heartbreaking. So sorry for any family that is going through this.

Police forces across the country are much more aware, especially very recently. I do hope they are effective for you, OP, avalon and anyone else seeing this happen to their children.

Anyone who thinks that buying a bit of weed or coke is harmless, or a 'victimless crime' needs to read their local paper and see the children lost to knife crime and gangs.

I taught several boys who went this way and it's an absolute tragedy for them, their families and their victims. Their poor mothers are devastated.
