My eldest has become a soap dodger since the whole puberty thing happened. Just went in and said "you've got a party later you need to have a wash" "no" "your hair needs a wash and your armpits smell" "no" and a glare...

I don't want to create a complex but it's not good. I knos this is common! How did you deal with it?

Bad she had a bath, went to the party and said she’s glad she went.

She's starting yr 7 in sept yiu night find then that she sorts herself out pretty quickly once she’s there but like others have said, I’d get the bathroom fixed pretty sharpish and insist she gets clean daily each day.

That's good news then! Yes just insist on a daily routine and provide her with nice smellies to make it a pleasure! Maybe a trip to Lush where she can pick out her own stuff? Could swing it as a starting secondary school treat?
