Tsk Mr. BI is living up to his name as usual Grin. Can you plan something else Hooch? Remember The Head to Toe Horror day. If you're anything like me, you've erased it from your memory but it definitely did happen!
Just a beer and fags for me too. I'm ignoring the Friday night fuck it switch and aiming for a very tired and bored chilled out vibe.

Yes I'm reminding myself of the head to toe horrors and seems to be working. Too knackered to do anything distracting. Thanks for the words of wisdom, hanging on in there Smile

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/07/2017 19:18

Let's try and embrace the knackered thing and go with it. I have my comfy leggings on and I'm eating a bowl of Krave..(Jesus how ironic)!

I love Rick. Like properly love.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/07/2017 20:07

Rick's our new inspiration mascot. I think we're all going clubbing soon on wine and Redbulls (hopefully the furry mascot costume will have arrived from Amazon by then).
..poor Rick Grin

Can I not just wear my daisy dukes, cowboy boots and a crop top? Please Smile

RickJames · 14/07/2017 20:14

You must know Chappelle's show...

RickJames · 14/07/2017 20:16

And that's why I'm Rick James because I'm so sober now Smile anyone who's bored or high, watch Chappelle's show. It will dissuade you from getting high and it will make you laugh.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/07/2017 20:46

I'll give it a go. I'm willing to try any deterrent possible! apart from emigrating.

You can wear your crop top. You may overheat in the mascot costume and sweat yourself into dehydrated oblivion if you're clubbing.

Walked away from it tonight. Go me! I did my self advised playing the film until the end.

serialtester · 14/07/2017 22:42

I'm barely French too! Tomorrow morning I will feel great. Sort of!!

HoochiMama · 14/07/2017 22:56

Well done Serial, that's what I did too, was hard though. Wasn't even on my mind until he called. Then once the seed is planted... thankfully he bored me senseless on the phone so the thought of seeing him put me off plus playing it through to the end. Then I fell asleep in the sofa Grin

serialtester · 14/07/2017 23:08

Good work hooch! I just kept thinking of last Saturday which was wasted on a come down.

serialtester · 14/07/2017 23:09

I am going to bed now - but I am CRAVING!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/07/2017 23:15

I swerved it tonight too although to be honest I'm still quite ill and groggy from my Wednesday debacle. I'm so glad Mr BI bored you senseless on the phone Hooch, that's great news. Grin
Serial you're a legend. You can have your bishop outfit back. Looks like the superglue technique paid off after all.
Earlyish night for me x

Hi surfers self confessed lurker here! Just wanted to jump on and wish you all the best in your efforts to cut down/give up the dreaded white powder. I went through a phase in my early twenties (pre kids) of quite regular use and found myself in some very dark places, in debt and with horrible depression. The self loathing and 'going through the horrors' you feel coming down is something I'll never forget yet I know how hard it is to walk away from, especially if all your social circle or partner also indulges. I ended up moving back home with my parents and cutting ties with pretty much all of my old friends which was really sad but the only way I could see out of the lifestyle I was living. It's been over 10 years now since I took coke and I can honestly say I will never touch it again. I know it's not that 'simple' for most people i.e you can't just up sticks and move, so I really admire you all for the support you give each other. I hope you all have a good (and surftastic!) weekend. Stay strong, you CAN beat this xx

HoochiMama · 15/07/2017 00:11

Hi Moon, thank you so much for your support. I know what you mean, I have not touched it for ages before and thought I never would again but it's an association thing and if I know someone who does it can be difficult. Glad you managed to banish it from your life, well done. Have a great weekend too xx

And hello Rick, sorry didn't say it earlier was too busy trying to surf!

Night all xx

MondayTuesdayWednesday · 15/07/2017 00:35

Just wanted to wish you all the best.

Having had a past where I have taken a lot of drugs and been one of those people who can't stop once they start I can see it's a slippery slope so wasn't being judgemental by asking a question.

I can see you all want to stop and I hope it all works out for you.

ponzusoup · 15/07/2017 08:20

Morning surfettes and hello rick james you fabulous thing!!!!

You've touched a nerve with me you and your Pom poms.

Cocaine should be a high but it actually takes the colour out of the world for me now as it's become habitual and ineffective. I spend time in a perpetual come down / grump and think it just depresses me in the long term.

I dipped In my toe last night. Cannot leave it alone. Rick - pass those pom-poms.

ponzusoup · 15/07/2017 08:21

And morning moon good to hear from long term surfers. Thanks for taking the time.

serialtester · 15/07/2017 08:54

I feel amazing this morning! Totally different to last Saturday, have a good weekend everyone!

ponzusoup · 15/07/2017 09:24

I googled rick James and realised he died of cocaine abuse and felt really sad.

ponzusoup · 15/07/2017 09:24

Well done serial that's brilliant!!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/07/2017 09:33

Morning all
Hope you're not suffering too much today Ponz. Cake Brew

Just wanted to thank Moon and Monday for the supportive words and also showing some understanding.
The truth is I find struggling with this addiction frightening and lonely. The shame and secrecy and the fear that I won't get out of cocaine's grip is overwhelming at times.
To be offered encouragement and optimism really means a hell of a lot and inspires me to keep trying! I'm so grateful to everyone.

I'll stop rambling on now..Have a lovely day all.

Lost, it can take us to a very dark place can't it? You'll be ok though. You'll get there.
