So, do you put them in damp hair? but if i don't dry my hair (fine and wavy and crap) it's just frizzfest 2009.

Am off to youtube then. I'll be gorgeous when I come back.

stubbyfingers · 12/07/2009 00:16

Just been to youtube and well, crikey, who can be arsed/ has got time to do all that?!

she has blow dried hair and she uses curling irons and then rollers!

I am destined to just look normal.

Is that what y'all do?

FenellaFudge · 12/07/2009 01:31

I knwe it! I thought vlcro's would be the way to go but anyone I ask in rl just laughs.

So actual people actually do use them after all!

Cant do the faff a la youtube vid though.

Have shoulder length, layered, med thickness hair.

How many do I need?

Curl whole head or just strategic bits?

How long to leave em on?

Americans must ALL use rollers.

Simples · 12/07/2009 09:41

no no
you do ( the left hand side only natch) your hair till still damp at the dull bits roots.
Then brush into rough style its supposed to end up like.

then get a small section of hair( god oyu CAn do that you hopeless fools)
get the roller underneath it and move the roller DOWN the underside of the hair as if brushing it with the roller.

are you still with me? ( this is worse than 7F fgs)
when teh roller is at the bottom of the strands of hair pullin it TIGHT roll the hair up and under thenRAM it onto your skull and spray.

Simples · 12/07/2009 10:05

If i am working yes.
I bung em in and have breakfast.
will do today as I am not washing hair.
it takes as long as blwodrying
i dont do it very exactly.

OP posts:
castille · 12/07/2009 10:08

Hmm I might need to try that to tame tendency to frizz

But have THICK hair, would take ages, non?

pointydog · 12/07/2009 10:23

hmm, am tempted. Big hair suits me better.

Mind you, that youtube woman spend a whole quarter of an hour faffing about. That's off-putting.

Simples · 12/07/2009 10:54

oh she is a nob.
I have to leave house at 7 50 and only get up at 6 30 and have a bath etc

OP posts:
MamaG · 12/07/2009 12:01

OK lets have a fight. I'll have GHDs and you can have your rollers. Chuck em at me then I'll burn you with my GHDs

Simples · 12/07/2009 12:01

MrsBadger · 12/07/2009 15:26

never mind left side only, I do front 4 only and let the bakc go hang

works wonders for wispy front layers

LilyAllensThirdNipple · 12/07/2009 15:31

mrs B you are a velcroey badger?

MrsBadger · 12/07/2009 16:01

not just at the moment

but generally yes

NervousNutty · 12/07/2009 16:04

Ohhh i have to try this. Where si the best/cheapest place to get some ??

Flibbertyjibbet · 12/07/2009 16:09

I have recently resurrected my collection of 30 velcro rollers of various sizes and colours after they've been hidden away during the straight flat hair fashion.

I have very fine hair with a wave, yippee for rollered bouncy hair returning, my hair looks 10 times thicker when its all bouncy and wavy!

The 3" or 4" diameter ones give just bouncy hair, you have to get down to 1" for curls.

If you brush the hair when you take the rollers out you get the bounce not the curls.
