If it's a question of price I don't know where you live but there is a Mulberry factory shop in Shepton Mallet and if you call in the day time they can tell you what they have in...a bit of charm will get them to hold over something you like

They have seconds and shop returns there, vastly reduced

Otherwise I had loads of Mulberry. It is excellent quality if a bit conservative.

If you love it buy it
(or take a visit to the shop and buy it + something else for the same money)

Thanks again for all the replies! I don't want anything 'trendy' (which excludes the ted baker ones - although they are lovely) so I probably will settle on one of the more classic (maybe dull!) mulberry purses..

I haven't reacted to some of the more judgemental comments as they really don't bother me! Expressing exclusively for my babes (I did it for my daugter too)is the only way I could breastfeed and I am soooo proud I've nearly done it - as someone said I must have saved loads on formula (although I hadn't considered that!)- having my purse will just remind me of my achievement (you'd have to go through it to know how hard it is!) - its quite a personal, sentimental thing really..

Also I'll ring the factory shops and if they have the one I select in stock, I'll try and buy over the phone.

The crimson Mulberry one is yummy. Very nice indeedy.

The crimson - when I mentioned the patent ones I meant that! It's gorgeous. Am tempted to treat myself now but have been doing too much lately (as just got the baby weight off in my case) so will resist but sounds like you deserve your reward

and absolutely in agreement about having a nice purse, when I got my first pay packet in my first grown up job I bought a Radley purse to enjoy every day

The Smythson is lovely.

You'd get pleasure from using that everyday wouldn't you?...even if it was empty apart from a couple of old receipts and a used bus ticket.

I haven't bought anything yet. The Smythson is beautiful and definitely the kind of thing I'm looking for...can't see that dating easily can you?

I think you deserve the shop for expressing for one year - that's an amazing feat.

I've just had an email from Mulberry and I see they have four factory shops. As well as Shepton Mallet they are in York, Bicester Village and Cheshire Oaks. I don't know if any of these are better for you. I have phone numbers too, if you need them.

I am hopelessly adicted to Mulberry, they make me happy . I've never regretted a single purchase, their stuff is beautifully made and british to boot.

Call around the outlets and they do mail order
