This one

Do you think this will date quickly? Thanks

Thanks Laurie! Thankfully DH has very good taste

pointydog · 25/04/2009 17:29

I think it looks ordinary and is overpriced.

Zembo · 25/04/2009 17:32

Thanks slubber, what you say about the dating is what my concern is in the back of my mind -i.e that it is already dating! Maybe I need to start a new thread for a classic purse that won't date and will end my collection of £12.99 ones!

Why do you need a treat for expressing breastmilk? < puzzled, and yes, a little bit judgey >

blametheparents · 25/04/2009 17:37

I like this one, also from Mulberry.

LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 25/04/2009 17:38

I have a Mandarina Duck one bought in Paris for about £70 nearly ten years ago - looks almost the same as the day I bought it

My friend bought a lovely Ted Baker one for £80 the other day - is about the same size as the Mulberry one

minko · 25/04/2009 17:39

I think it is already a bit dated tbh... I'd spend the money on a Mulberry Anthony myself - a whole bag and £39 less!

stylish, trendy, limited edition

CountessDracula · 25/04/2009 17:42

god how tragic
can't you think of a better use for £300
eg get yourself a £50 purse and donate the rest to some breast feeding charity

noddyholder · 25/04/2009 17:44

If you like it get it £ irrelevant if you can afford it.It looks a bit 80s though which is highly fashionable right now so may date.I find it odder that you want a reward for expressing

jemart · 25/04/2009 17:49

it is nice, but pricey. I would wait for the sales.

Zembo · 25/04/2009 17:59

Thanks for the links, will have a proper look at them later

The whole rewarding myself for expressing is just a way of justifying the spend and encouraging me to continue I suppose! couldn't get my LO to latch on, so i express 5x a day (with a toddler on the scene too!)

Don't mind anyone judging me for being a bit extravagant!

Mulberry purses are fabulous. I dont care what anybody says about them.

I have the continental one in Darwin oak and I love it. Its £172 accirding to the link but I got mine at Stanstead duty free for £140.

Its used every day and I wouldnt swap it !

Have to say I'm not that keen on the one you looked at, a bit too zippy for me, but in a lighter colour, maybe ...

Have fun choosing

Galava · 25/04/2009 18:16

and ignore comments like 'Tragic' you dont need to explain yourself to anyone on here

a wee bit jealous me thinks ??

pointydog · 25/04/2009 18:17

more likely just to be a different opinion on purses, gala

Rindercella · 25/04/2009 18:18

Well said Galava

mrsmaidamess · 25/04/2009 18:18

Not jealous, just slightly baffled.

Rindercella · 25/04/2009 18:22

Thing is, if Zembo has £300 to spend on a purse - or whatever other treat she fancies - then that is entirely up to her. Suggestions such as giving the money to charity are just daft imo (sorry CD). Who are we to know whether or not Zembo has already donated (money) to a breast feeding charity??

mrsmaidamess · 25/04/2009 18:23

Zembo asked us what we thought, we told her. This is AIBU afterall.....oh hang on...

poshtottie · 25/04/2009 18:25

I like the other mulberry somebody linked too.

I have a louis Vuitton which costs about the same. (It was a gift from a family I worked for)

Rindercella · 25/04/2009 18:27

it certainly seems to be degenerating that way

Zembo · 25/04/2009 18:38

Sorry what is AIBU?

I appreciate all the opinions and it has helped me decide to look around more - you're right it is very 80's and therefore I might go off it too soon- I like the other mulberry purse in one of the links too.

I can afford the purse, just wanted to know what people thougt of it...I'm sure everyone has their own indulgences (and I may well be baffled by some of them myself)!

OP posts:
BitOfFun · 25/04/2009 18:53

Well I'm still a bit about the extravagance, and I think it's odd to link it to the expressing, but you've been very gracious, and I agree that you've put some serious work into feeding your baby- I don't think I could have done it.

Zembo · 25/04/2009 18:53

Some of the coach purses are gorgeous too!
