Exactly! but agree you can't go wrong with no.3, it's smart and easily transformed with accessories, it is good for work and also the shift style is in. The red and white one would have to be tried on as the bands are narrower on the lower half so may give you a triangle shape appearance ie broader on top than bottom when it's one. The green one is one people will notice straight away as being a bit different.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 16:22

It took me a while to realise what you were talking about, for a second I thought you'd gone (even more) crazy.

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 24/02/2009 16:25

The first one will be triumph or disaster - so good luck. The second one looks too warm for spring and the third one is a bit Connie Beauchamp from Holby City....

Bit worried about you mentioning the bright shoes - do you already own these or will you have to launch a thread asking for help in (not) buying those too

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 16:27

Don't talk about shoes. No.

In fact shoes, what are they?

OP posts:
sifuentes · 24/02/2009 16:58

number 3 with bright coloured shoes? Personally, i love your styling and might copy you - great for spring work wardrobe, non?

number 1 makes me long for long long thin legs and narrow hips. So I am jealous that you can even consider it let alone purchase.

MerlinsBeard · 24/02/2009 17:03

love the first one (but not the colour)

hate the second and the 3rd is def a work meeting kind of dress!

NorthernLurker · 24/02/2009 17:06

Shoes - they go on your fett and they eat your money - these are red SHOES

these are yellow SHOES

these are blue SHOES

these are silly SHOES

and these are in the sale SHOES as are these

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 17:08

All of those shoes are foul, thank goodness

I bought 30 pairs last year, 30 sodding pairs.

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 24/02/2009 17:17

Yes you see - how great is my sacrifice to save you from yourself- the yellow ones were particularly tough to link too! My extensive research has shown that all the good shoes this season are black or brown so you can't buy that grey dress - you will look like an accountant!

MrsSeanBean · 24/02/2009 17:19

Don't like the first dress.

The second could be OK on someone who is very skinny, dark and gamine in a stereotypically French kind of way.

The third is just about OK, but has Roland Mouret 'Moon' vibes. I am currently still deciding whether this is good or bad. Carol Vorderman managed to put me off the whole look once.

MrsSeanBean · 24/02/2009 17:20

Or was it RM Galaxy? Anyway, whichever, it has Carol Vorderman connotations. (Sorry!)

BonsoirAnna · 24/02/2009 17:21

I like the first dress - the green one - a LOT but wouldn't wear it with mary janes.

I don't like the other dresses at all.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 17:24

Damn the jimmy choo site is crap, you'd think they could afford a speedy server.

BonsoirAnna · 24/02/2009 17:25

And I LOVE your purple See by Chloe dress Penthesileia . And I think it is a bargain.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 17:27

I have bright green platform court shoes

I have pillar box red round toed mary janes

I have purple patent pointed court shoes

and so many more.

I've bought the 3rd one too so will report back when it's delivered.

This was not supposed to happen

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 17:27

STOP TALKING ABOUT THE CHLOE DRESS

OP posts:
TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 17:28

I need to go and do a quick tidy before my friends arrive, I might hide this thread (is that possible when you are the op)

OP posts:
MrsSeanBean · 24/02/2009 17:28

yIKES, is the image of CV not enough to put you off? Will try harder next time.

BonsoirAnna · 24/02/2009 17:35

No the purple dress is much much MUCH nicer than the Topshop and Debenhams dresses put together

daisyj · 24/02/2009 17:46

Oh god, I love them all. This thread is making me cry with lust. Mind you, I'm 35 weeks pregnant, so everything is making me cry today. Will I ever be able to afford to look at net-a-porter again? Will I ever be able to wear anything that's not stretchy jersey again...?

I'm showing this to DH as proof it's not me that has the shoe problem, though .

BonsoirAnna - why wouldn't you wear it with Mary Janes? I have lurked to glean your advice on many a sartorial thread and now you have me worried. I think there's a Mary Jane for every occasion, but then I do have about 15 pairs...

BonsoirAnna · 24/02/2009 17:48

I'd have worn it with shoes that are more decorative than mary janes - I think the dress is fabulous but think it needs accessorising. But it would depend a bit on what else you wore with it.

francagoestohollywood · 24/02/2009 21:05

this os the chloe dress I fell in love with but hurrah! I was wrong! It is cheaper here in Milan

I agree with Anna get the purple chloe one instead of the topshop and debenhams.

I'd wear the green dress with high heel shoes but round and golden. sorry don't know how to describe them

BonsoirAnna · 25/02/2009 08:14

Are you going to be wearing that dress as you step off your yacht in the Med this August Franca?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 25/02/2009 09:10

Oh yes I have some tarnished bronze round toed court shoes , they will look great with it!

OP posts:
TheDevilWearsPrimark · 25/02/2009 09:11

It's sold out now, I'm so glad I bought it yesterday.
