Your size is just a number and it doesn't matter to anyone else except you!
Have said this before but your size matters much less than your body shape. Have a go on the style consultation and let us know what shape you come back as.

You need TwinsetandPearls. She would get you clothed and shod in a twinkling.

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 12:09

Apparently I am a Bewitching Butterfly

I bought a dress from monsoon. They go up to a 22 (which I was). It was strappy but I wore a nice shrug over it. Lok fab!

JackieNo · 16/02/2009 17:14

Monsoon is good (and their sizes often come up large, so you may get away with a 20).

Something like this is good - v-neck is flattering to the bust. fitted over the ribs, then flaring out over the tummy. The same goes for something like this, which might actually work better over your tummy, as it might skim over it more.
This could work for the same reasons, though you'd want a shrug or pretty cardigan over it.
And I love the shape and colour of this one.

JackieNo · 16/02/2009 17:17

This is along the same lines as the Monsoon ones. WHat sorts of colours do you like?

MsBrandybuck · 16/02/2009 17:22

I'm also a size 22 Bewitching Butterfly My norks are about a 44G though .
Have you heard of 'princess line' style dress? I find it is the best style dress for my figure. Semi fitted like these.

I'm wearing a dress in this style (with long sleeves though) for my sister's wedding in April.

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 18:17

Jackie o I am olive skinned with very dark hair and eyes (people often think I'm Spanish) so deep reds suit me I think.

I like all the dresses you linked to, esp. love the blue dress you linked to, d you think I could get away with something like that?

Brandybuck - pleased to meet another butterfly I've never heard of 'princess line' style dresses. I looked at your link but sewing patterns are far beyond my comprehension

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 18:23

twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 18:25

you have a budget of a few hundred Anna Scholz is your lady www.annascholz.com/ she also has a budget line on simply be.

twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 18:27

Sorry posted my last link before I saw your budget.

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 18:34

Just been looking at A.Scholz on SimplyB website, do you think I could wear this with a black cardigan ,pair of black trousers and heels?

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 18:40

caryn franklin on simply be, the basic shape could be flattering and I like the colour but the sleeves could be a nightmare and am not convinced that it is not a tad mumsy

this may be less mumsy and I love purple. Good arm coverage and shape

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 18:43

I'm nt sure either of those dresses are really me Twinset

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 18:45

I love the colour sweetcheeks but that shape can look awful if you have a larger stomach as it becomes a tent.

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 18:46

I do have a large stomach! So not a good idea then - I'm crap at this

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 18:48

If you do not wear dresses how about as you say a top and trousers?

unfitmother · 16/02/2009 18:48

Try Elvi, they sell on-line and in their shops.

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 18:48

the new annascholz summer 2009 collection is marvellous although not showing up online yet

have you had a look on ebay as well, some of the anna scholz comes onto there too

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 18:50

Would top and trousers be ok? Will everyone be in dresses? What about a skirt and top, would that be a comprimise?

Will look at a.scholz on ebay and take a look at Elvi
