I am 5ft4 so thats a no.

I'm not used to clingy anymore - since having dd and carrying birth weight I tend to wear things that resemble tents

This is a really nice colour and could be foxed up with some suede heeled boots. Flattering shape.

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 19:28

I'm going to try and win on ebay

What shoes, accessories would you wear?

Just to jump in, the toned down purple dress is lovely, so flattering, I wore it to a wedding last year and felt great, very flattering across the boobs.

The fabric is not too clingy, just sits nice.

I agree mmj. By lifting and supporting your boobs you will create a great waist.

Thanks flourybabs if I see it in my size I will be buying it.

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 19:32

matalan carry rogers and rogers stuff which has an occasional gem too

agree with mmj though that a well fitting bra will make ALL the difference

remember Evans for your basics if you need shoes/boots/black trousers as well

AND Next now do a range that have clothing up to our sizes too

JackieNo · 16/02/2009 19:33

Yes - I agree with MildMannered. Definitely, if you haven't already been there, give it a go - they're great. I went in a 40dd, and came out a 38G or FF (depending on the make) . Love the purple dress.

twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 19:34

I have some purple stretchy suede boots that I would wear it with, or some purple heels with maybe some coloured tights .

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 19:35

Thank you flourybaps, thats a doubleheader with both of you recommending it - I must win it now!

MMJ I know you are right but that means having to expose my belly to a stranger!!

anna scholz shoes on ebay

LaTrucha · 16/02/2009 19:36

I like all the dresses you linked to Sweetcheeks. You've got good taste.

JackieNo · 16/02/2009 19:37

Do it anyway, Sweetcheeks (I feel like an american gangster calling you that). It really does make a huge difference. And they've seen it all before, plus you never have to see them again (well, until you go back for another fitting in 6 months because you want some more lovely bras )

LOL @ american ganagster maybe I should think about a name change.

MMJ You are right. Its just something I'm going to have to do isnt it. I will do it, I know it make all the difference.

Thank you ladies, esp.twinset for trawling the internet on my behalf, I really do appreciate it and I will think of you all when I'm looking fab and glam at the wedding!

Glad you have found something, I love doing this, especially as my new budget means I rarely get to shop for myself.

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 19:52

twinsetandpearls, tis just another reason we're delighted you didn't flounce!!

this thread has made me get off my lardy bum and start listing all the clothes I need to sell to fund my unpaid maternity I LOVE looking for clothes online

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 16/02/2009 19:52

Twinset you found it and I am very grateful

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 19:55

I never flounce for long, am rather pathetic in that department.

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 19:56

glad to hear it

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/02/2009 21:32

I have revamped my wardrobe thanks to TSAP and no longer lurk in black and brown. Am off to NY in a couple of weeks for a bit of shopping and can't wait!

twinsetandpearls · 16/02/2009 21:56

You must share your purchases Schaden,

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/02/2009 22:14

Ummm...I got a red dress. Can't remember where from, and it's a bit short, but looks good with black jeans under it. A dress from Elvi which is wrap-ish and gives me a waist. And the bright Anna Scholz one which I think you have linked to in this thread. Also some cheery tops which are (whisper it) patterned!

Have also ordered some stuff from crazyclearance.co.uk this week.

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 22:26

I boughtthis in black print and this too

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 22:31
