Mmmm, that top from the earlier thread is feminine, girly and sexy all at the same time, isn't it

Pannacotta · 14/01/2009 21:31

I hate Boden, think most of it is too fussy and too expensive for what it is.
Is quite hard to find decent clothese for women in their 30s plus though.
I shop at H&M, Monsoon, Gt Plains, Phase Eight, Top Shop, Principles etc but it's a struggle to find things I really like.

twinsetandpearls · 14/01/2009 21:36

I buy quite a bit for dd as it is good quality, I often sell it on ebay when she has finished and put the money towards new clothes.

I buy staples from boden for myself and can assure you that I love fashion.

As others have said I would never wear it all from head to toe and always get compliments on my clothes.

Mooseheart · 14/01/2009 21:36

I love the children's stuff - it's such lovely quality.

I don't particularly like the adult clothing though - it's bland. It's Next for the Bunting Cupcake middle classes.

I do admit however to buying their green dress with big cream spots last summer for a last minute wedding outfit. Plus I have a couple of their bags.

It is expensive though - I am amazed at how the prices seem to have gone up quite steeply this season too... perhaps Johnnie believes Boden is recession proof? Probably is, actually....

Come on then Bodybag, answer the question - where do you buy your feminine girly sexy clothes?

twinsetandpearls · 14/01/2009 21:37

I would consider my style to be feminine sexy girly with a classic twist tbh

Pannacotta · 14/01/2009 21:41

I suppose Boden is like anywhere really, you can mix and match their things.
What I dont like is their signature fussy/patterned clothes whcih are very obviously Boden, I like my clothes to look a bit more anonymous/hard to place.

paolosgirl · 14/01/2009 21:43

She's keeping quiet, Moose. I wonder what shop I'd get if I googled 'feminine sexy girly'?!

Pannacotta · 14/01/2009 21:52

Karen Millen is sexy/girly but I find it a bit tarty too.

BodyBagBastard · 14/01/2009 21:53

hang on i'll link a few things
btw i do not have that top i was joking

OP posts:
MrsSeanBean · 14/01/2009 21:54

Ugh, Karen Millen is far too 'footballers wives'. Now that is overpriced crap imo.

janeite · 14/01/2009 21:54

Mmm I think KM is a bit footballers' wives tbh. And hideously over-priced.

janeite · 14/01/2009 21:55

X posts! lol

llareggub · 14/01/2009 21:56

KM in difficulties, I heard.

Pannacotta · 14/01/2009 21:57

Yes I agree re Karen Millen being wagish, I never shop there but it does aim for sexy (aka tarty).
Cant think of another high st shop which does "sexy".

MrsSeanBean · 14/01/2009 21:58

Useless fact: I have never been inside a Karen Millen shop in 20 years of dedicated trudging on the high street.

BodyBagBastard · 14/01/2009 22:02

here

OP posts:
Ingles2 · 14/01/2009 22:04

Mooseheart · 14/01/2009 22:05

Hmmm tbh I'm not sure about that BodyBag, it's a bit Kelly Osborne.

MrsSeanBean · 14/01/2009 22:07

What about daywear though bodybag?

LynetteScavo · 14/01/2009 22:07

EXACTLY! I too thought Kelly Osbourne at that link!!!

GoodRiddance · 14/01/2009 22:08

[pictures Bodybag at the school run with a fur shrug and dolly shoes]

Every day?

janeite · 14/01/2009 22:09

Sorry BB - prefer Boden stuff to that dress and you could hardly do the school run, go to work or go to Sainsbos in it!

GoodRiddance · 14/01/2009 22:09

x-post MSB

Mooseheart · 14/01/2009 22:10

Great minds and all that Lynette! Although IIRC you are also the one who likes Boden Brad and that is where you and I part company
