Appointment is tomorrow and i am still undecided and starting to panic.
I am torn between keeping it long and having feathering recut round the front and having an inverted long bob maybe something similar to this without fringe ??????
I am driving myself and Furball madas she has tried helping me find some styles but i dont know ahhhhhhhhhhh.
By the way i never go out with my hair up because i hate my ears but in the house it is usually tied up.
Also my hair has a tendency to frizz as soon as i set foot out of the house.

On profile and im not keen tbh.
I told her all about hair etc and she suggested because my hair has a slight kink in the back, keeping it longer at the back and few layers through the front and back.
It is all flicky outy

I can't really see it, the photo is quite dark and your dark top just blends into the hair iyswim,.

you don't LOOK happy though.

lauraloola · 14/11/2008 20:13

Wash it and style it yourself - It will look amazing.

Beauregard · 14/11/2008 20:26

Have changed my top so you can see better.

Furball · 14/11/2008 20:27

agree with laura - wash it tomorrow morning and style it yourself, curling under as you go. - did you take that piccy in?

Beauregard · 14/11/2008 20:31

Didnt take piccy in no as i thought it was fairly easy to describe iykwim.

I may go and get the straighteners out.

I like it. Its not too drastically different but you can tell you've had it done IYSWIM.

You'll feel much better once you've styled it again yourself. I tend to find that after 9/10 hairdresser visits I want to get home and re-do it my way.

Beauregard · 14/11/2008 21:01

I hate it more each time i look at it.

I think it's lovely actually and am deeply envious of your hair. I love the layers, they really frame your face.

I cut all mine off during the summer, a la victoria beckham, and although I liked it at the time, I hate it, hate it, HATE IT now. It will take about 18 months to get to your length.

So I am at you new haircut

NorbertDentressangle · 14/11/2008 21:21

PFNM- you just need to get used to it.

When I had mine cut off and a fringe put in I was for a while. I kept catching a glimpse of myself in windows/mirrors and thinking who the f*ck is that before realising it was me

Honestly, its lovely.

lauraloola · 14/11/2008 21:48

Post on here when you have washed and styled it. I bet you love it.

Megglevache · 14/11/2008 23:57

post again I didn't see.

Beauregard · 14/11/2008 23:59

Hold on will put photos back

OP posts:
thumbwitch · 15/11/2008 00:31

as others have said, I'm sure it will be better for you once you have washed it and managed it yourself. It looks fine (although I can see the flicky-up bit at the back that's annoying you) and the layers at the front look great!

Good that you didn't get a fringe - they are buggers to grow out if you hate them.

It's a good length, you'll still be able to tie it back if you need to and it will grow.

flippityjibbet · 15/11/2008 07:25

it is lovely, but it is a bit of a neither-here-nor-there-length imo.

why don't you wait a couple of weeks then get the do you wanted? you might decide you like it before then though.

Dragonbutter · 15/11/2008 11:08

it's not a dreadful hairdo pelvic, infact it's very similar to mine
but i suspect it's not the makeover change you fancied, as it's not very different.
wait a week or so and if you still want to go shorter then go for it.

Beauregard · 15/11/2008 11:36

I hate it am off to buy wig

OP posts:
Buda · 15/11/2008 12:01

Oh no! Can't see photo though.

Furball · 15/11/2008 12:36

oh no pfnm! can't believe it after all that waiting, choosing and anticipation.

flippityjibbet · 15/11/2008 15:30

go back and ask her to cut more off, ime hairdressers do want you to like your do's, why not give her a call and talk to her about it? go on!

Megglevache · 15/11/2008 16:32

oh dammit we will have to synchronize watches so I can see. Is it reallky that awful. Sometimes they try a bit too hard stylists- you know all the zjooshing a la Nicky Clarke. It could be that the cut itself it fantastic but it needs your touch. Wsh and style it yourself as others have said.

How much shorter is it?

I've got it.
I was watching Ashlee Simpson on MTV this afternoon and you need to copy her hairdo. You look similar and would definitely be able to do the fringe thing.
I don't have time to find you some pictures right now (it's bad enough i'm thinking about your hair on a sunday afternoon) but see what you think.

i think she's done blonde, dark and red and suited them all, but look at the dark hairdos to find one that would suit you best.

Furball · 16/11/2008 16:22

is this the sort of thing you mean dragonbutter? cos yes, that would look fab and very similar to what PFNM has now,, just needs a fringey bit.

Dragonbutter · 16/11/2008 16:41

exactly furball, well done.
