Appointment is tomorrow and i am still undecided and starting to panic.
I am torn between keeping it long and having feathering recut round the front and having an inverted long bob maybe something similar to this without fringe ??????
I am driving myself and Furball madas she has tried helping me find some styles but i dont know ahhhhhhhhhhh.
By the way i never go out with my hair up because i hate my ears but in the house it is usually tied up.
Also my hair has a tendency to frizz as soon as i set foot out of the house.

Hi Pelvic- you are so good looking and have beautiful eyes, I think the fringe will really suit you as you have fab eyebrows too.

Mine is naturally curly and very prone to frizz- my hair style is very similar to the first one you linked to but a wee bit longer. As long as you find the right product for your hair it should be fine and when I don't have time I pin mine back anyway.

You are very pretty I'm glad you must wee yourself lots with a dodgy pelvic floor. bitter, me?

LouMacca · 14/11/2008 12:18

Your obviously really pretty and have nice hair.

How about long layers and maybe a fringe. My hair was a similar length a couple of year ago. I just had a couple of inches cut off and long layers put in which I'm really pleased with.

Good luck - we'll expect an updated photo!

Beauregard · 14/11/2008 12:27

you are all so lovely,i never feel pretty so its nice to hear even if you all need your eyes testingI have a tendency to feel a bit like a man in drag (as 6ft2) I suppose my long hair makes me feel a bit more feminine.

Oh gawd Pelvic, did your husband fit distorting circus mirrors when you weren't looking? Get a grip Lady, 70 of us can't be wrong.

Megglevache · 14/11/2008 12:53

oh I felt I must add. How many drag queens do you know with short hair? They all have very bouffant big/long hair, so there.

Beauregard · 14/11/2008 12:55

Haven't a clue whether you should chop or not but the first thing that struck me was...... OMG! She's beautiful and you are!!!!!!!!!

Make that 71 of us.

ShinyPinkPumpkin · 14/11/2008 13:06

Definately go for the bob- I think it will really suit you

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoul · 14/11/2008 13:09

You're gorgeous, don't argue or I shall rap your knuckles with a ruler young lady !
I'd say keep it long and go for a sweeping fringe and a bit of feathering around the face. If you do feel self concious (and I've no idea why you should!) then it's good to have hair to hide behind a little.

quickdrawmcgraw · 14/11/2008 13:11

I've just put up a photo on my profile of the bob I got this morning. It's not the same cut that you're thinking of going for but I just wanted to show you the fringe I got. It's just a small feathered one and good if you're a bit nervous about going the whole hog with a fringe.

DrNortherner · 14/11/2008 13:19

You have gorgeous hair. Keep it as it is.

Beauregard · 14/11/2008 13:19

You are lovely and the bob really suits youI see what you mean about the fringe but for me if im gonna lose all the length then it may be a step too far.
I have to go soon i will pour everything out to the hairdresser who will no doubt think i am mad and see what she says.

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoul · 14/11/2008 13:21

You could always go for the 'pob' look so it's shorter at the back, bu you still have the length at the front?

NorbertDentressangle · 14/11/2008 13:23

I've only just seen this so you might be on your way to the hairdressers by now.

I think you could get away with anything but a bob like the one in your first link would look gorgeous. You have such beautiful features

Ask the hairdresser what they think too -often they'll recommend (or advise against) something due to your hair type so that might help make the decision.

Its a shame you can't come to the meet-up next Fri as I'd love to see the results -make sure you post a pic

Megglevache · 14/11/2008 13:29

QDM- I Love your hair,I htink I may grow mine out slightly like yours if I get bored of gettin gmine trimmed every 2 weeks but I rather like hiding behind it lately. You and Pelvic could be sisters.

Here's hoping you wee yourself with alarming regularity also . Ahem..

hecate · 14/11/2008 13:35

god, aren't you pretty?

I think that style you linked to would suit you - but I am not sure it would work without the fringe.

A few inches off so it sweeps your shoulders would also be nice.

But tbh, it looks lovely just the way it is.

where are all the ugly people.

flippityjibbet · 14/11/2008 13:39

GO FOR IT!
I had a big chop off last year after years of wanting to, it made me look so much younger and it has grown bak already. SO pleased I chopped it off.
be brave, you will maybe have a quick blub then you will not look back. I think it will thicken up your hair a bit. black hair looks lovely in a pob/thingimebob.

Tortington · 14/11/2008 13:40

i haven't got any advice, i have long hair and i can't cut it short, its a thing i have.

but wanted to add that i think you are v. pretty
