Opinions on these M&S wide-leg trousers before I keep them?

Can I have opinions on these trousers please 🙏. I’ve ordered them and they fit beautifully. Couldn’t be better. I’m just not 100% sure about them, probably because I rarely pay full price for anything.

they look beautiful, I'm not one to spend that much on trousers but if they feel like quality then treat enjoy treating yourself to an investment. They look like they can be dressed up or down so nice and versitile.

Beautiful, a classic piece that could be dressed up or down
If you can afford them then go for it

purplecorkheart · Yesterday 13:30

They are beautiful.

BuffaloCauliflower · Yesterday 13:30

Yeh they’re gorgeous. Lovely colour and texture, can style up or down. If they fit you well and you know how you’ll wear them definitely keep.

stripesandspotsanddots · Yesterday 13:31

They are gorgeous, the only thing that would put me off is that they are dry clean only and I am a mucky pup.

TofuTuesday · Yesterday 13:32

Don’t keep them if you aren’t sure. The colour is very specific so you won’t wear them often. I don’t think they look particularly special.

Spaniels4Eva · Yesterday 13:35

I've got a few Jaeger pieces from M & S and they're lovely quality so worth the investment.

Clarabell77 · Yesterday 13:37

What are you not sure about?

sesquipedalian · Yesterday 13:38

OP, if in doubt, go without - but they really are lovely trousers!

BarnacleBeasley · Yesterday 13:47

I like them, and would be tempted to keep them if it was me. But if it's a stretch for your budget, I agree with the PP who is doubtful about the colour. I can think of tops and shoes I have that would work with them, but I'd very much be building the outfit around the trousers rather than them fitting into my existing wardrobe. Obviously the striking colour is part of the appeal - but on the other hand that means that you won't wear them as much as you would a more neutral colour, so if you are judging value in terms of cost-per-wear it's less worth it. Also don't keep them if they don't go with your coat(s).

pattercare · Yesterday 13:47

They are lovely, why are you not 100% sure, usually with me it's because I really love something but then think I won't wear them much as they don't really suit my lifestyle

Trickedbyadoughnut · Yesterday 13:49

I gasped when I opened the link, they're beautiful and now I want them too!

Purplecatshopaholic · Yesterday 13:49

Oh they are really lovely op. Going to check them out myself

TittyGajillions · Yesterday 13:59

I love them, I'll be checking on them regularly to see if they get reduced.

yesleavemealone · Yesterday 14:00

They're lovely

dreamingofgoodhair · Yesterday 14:07

They are lovely

Silverbirchleaf · Yesterday 14:12

They’re lovely. What’s making you unsure?

Pearlstillsinging · Yesterday 14:12

They look nice on the model but I have no idea how they look on you.
I quite like Jaeger clothes myself, they are usually good quality and classically stylish.

WhatNextImScared · Yesterday 14:14

They are gorgeous trousers, but whether they work for you depends on what you have to pair them with and whether they fit into your existing wardrobe

KCitsweyourHammiewevecomehomenow · Yesterday 14:14

It’s depends on the fit. I find some trousers from M&S quite short from the crotch to the waistband so they don’t always flatter me, so if they suit you go for it, but I wouldn’t settle if they weren’t 100%

I bought a similar shaped pair in Cos (a navy) but found they wore me rather than me wearing them so your height is important too.

i like the colour of the trousers

Hollyisgrande · Yesterday 14:15

I’m going against the majority here - I really can’t see what’s so special about them - Because they’re Jaeger?

FallsFarFromTheTree · Yesterday 14:19

Very nice, but are they machine (or at least hand) washable or dry clean only? If they're dry clean only, will that be a pita? I never wore my wool trousers for that reason. Then the moths got them.

godmum56 · Yesterday 14:19

I'd need a full lining because wool itches me

KCitsweyourHammiewevecomehomenow · Yesterday 14:22

I’m a sucker for high waisted trousers with nice pleats, but as 5 foot 5 need to make sure the proportions are balanced as I can’t wear the heels I used to.

i do like Massimo Dutti and Cos as my go to for pleated trousers in a nice material. But all mine are darker materials - less trips to the dry cleaners !

They are 85% wool and part lined. But dry clean only.
