I’m actually not keen on that sort of fleshy peach tone of Max’s blouse. It reminds me of nasty eighties interior decor 😆

Max looks beautiful in that shade of pastel pink. I quite like Mathilde's bright dress, but agree it's definitely 'more Max'!

The folks at 'Red Carpet Fashion Awards' absolutely love Kate's dress and think it's one of her best looks ever! Just shows how subjective fashion is.

I am completely blown away by this Jenny Packham chiffon gown. The floaty layers, open back and that hypnotic shade of amethyst make this one of Catherine’s most memorable red carpet looks for me.

Isn't Maxima some sort of special finance advocate for the UN? That's probably why she's there. Mathilde may be the same, although IIRC her background is speech therapy rather than finance.

They tend towards melodramatic language on that site! At least they didn't say Kate's dress was 'whimsical'!

If you think that's bad, you should see what Hello had to say. Kate was "elegantly gliding around" with her hair in "heavenly Rapunzel curls"!

I saw somewhere a reference to Tom Cruise holding her hand to help her down the stairs as a “sweet gesture”. Aaaarrrggh!

I completely agree.. Maxima and Mary are so switched on internationally. Max has been taking Amalia along with her the last couple of years. Leti I think is hampered by Sanchez government not liking any royal involvement, which is such a pity.

I loved Kate’s look last night. The only thing I would have changed is her hair.. if she’d had an up do it would have shown off the frock better.

I’d like to see Kate in a Richard Quinn dress.
Some of his designs are gorgeous.
After all he did win the QE11 inaugural award for Fashion.
Perhaps she has worn a RQ dress before ? ?

Hi all, and thanks for the new thread Maireas.

I find it really interesting when the royal ladies have clearly coordinated their clothes at public events. I like to imagine their assistants emailing back and forth: "Max was thinking of wearing her lime green polka dot dress and massive hat"; "Hm, Matilde was going to go a bit more conservative with a navy suit"; "Oh ok, how about orange and red then? Max has a new top that might work..."

Sophie looks nice today.
