What was today's event? That is a sort of sporty kate look!
Lots of local TV news and weather presenters here are wearing purple. I don't think I have ever worn purple.

I'm wearing a purple slouchy oversized Polo neck jumper today. I think it's the only purple garment I own though.

Kate's event was for Addiction Awareness Week. Apparently all the senior royals are doing something this week.

If anyone has time to kill in central London, Diana's revenge dress is on display at Sotheby's.

I really dislike loafers.
Were they low denier popsocks Kate wore with them ?

With trousers I much prefer loafers to ballet flats, which is what Kate opted for when she wore a not dissimilar country look for an autumn engagement last year. But I'm a proper fuddy duddy when it comes to footwear as I look at everything with an eye on how far I would want to walk in it!

Yes, with those kind of trousers, and for day wear, I think loafers are a good choice.

I've had some lovely mens sweaters from M&S. They're longer, warmer and wash well. The mens wear is also cheaper and better quality.

Hobbs loafers are my go-to work shoes (for days I'm not in scrubs).

They look smart but I walk about all day in them.

I prefer a slightly chunkier shape though not a clodhopper! That reminds me that I have a pair of these that I bought earlier this year and am yet to wear.
