As always when the Advent threads are running hot this thread is a little quieter but holiday releases, sets and edits are just around the corner. I'm super excited to be going to Sephoria London in October - I still can't believe I lucked out getting a ticket.

Not wanting to further enable you but I'm currently working through a jar of the Omorovicza balm and loving it. I used to use it quite often and then stopped for some reason (maybe it's incompatibility with white flannels?) but I picked one up in TK Max for £20ish and I'm so glad I did.

Boots are currently 20% off premium beauty online only. The girl on the nars counter told me today from Friday it’ll be in store as well.

A few new products went up for sale on Rhode at 5pm. Mini pocket blushes with a shimmer finish and a peptide lip tint (sweet apple, golden shimmer). I’ve just bought a few bits 😑

I set an alarm on my phone 🙈 after missing out on the last bun fight release 😂 Looks like all the blush are gone now. I got Gemini and Monet and the peptide lip tint. I wasn’t sure about Monaco.

The blush are back but the peptide lip tint is gone, if anyone is after the blushes.

I bought one of each of the blushes as didn’t want to pay postage, skipped the lip balms as have some Eadem balms arriving and only so many lip products I need.

I kind of regret not buying Monaco now but I don’t want to pay postage! You did the right thing 😅

Do you know if the Golden Milk from the HFAC that everyone seems to hate smells similar to the Dirty Milk?

No it's not. I feel like I've spent enough time on these threads with you to steer you away from Golden Milk. 😂

Even I sold it on and I'm generally a fan of lactonics. Dirty Milk is quite sweet. It might not be everyone's thing but it's not unpleasant. Golden Milk however is top note of rancid milk which then settles into quite a basic Oud.

😹😹😹 @OvaHere - moving away from the rancid milk perfume that has mysteriously made its way into my basket right this minute!

Fair enough! The beauty of us all having different noses and different skin I guess!!

They are lovely but only if the colours in this year's palettes would suit you. I bought the Dragon (fair) palette from 2024 and it's really nice but last year I bought Swan (med) which was a mistake colour wise. My most perfect one colour wise is one of the 4 pans they did a while ago that has just the right combo of shades and undertones for me.

If none of the colour stories really appeal either wait until next year or maybe get one of the 4 pan mid year releases they tend to do.

They're too expensive to get the colours wrong but if you do get a good match then worth it.

@pabloescobar - I waited until the sales and got the Swan reduced in SNK in Feb which I have saved for this Xmas.

Had 3 fragrance orders - I posted 2 perfumes yesterday both Evri, the other perfume she was only allowed DPD.

Just remembered @MrsBnow12 I went and swatched the Laura Mercier blushes in Boots at lunch time. After the initial release photos that looked lovely they seemed a bit underwhelming in person. However the new LM eye quads I'd paid little attention to based on photos, were lovely.

Also to my huge disappointment that store has removed their entire Morphe stand - apparently they will no longer be stocking in store. The Drunk Elephant display has gone too replaced by The Ordinary. Annoyed about that also as I wanted to swatch the new skin tint which allegedly is a good dupe for the Victoria Beckham foundation drops.
