As always when the Advent threads are running hot this thread is a little quieter but holiday releases, sets and edits are just around the corner. I'm super excited to be going to Sephoria London in October - I still can't believe I lucked out getting a ticket.

I dont know if of interest but I swear by the Elysia range by Fragarance world. I buy them from a trusted seller on Tiktok for £22 each and ive never bought a Kayali since.

I picked up the Luminous Skin Edit and used £30 credit CB awarded me for a spoiled product in a previous edit, so very happy with that for £17.94!

@SunnyPinkMoose - I completely agree with you!

I don’t mind the odd small size/sample in an edit but too often it’s all teeny tiny. Apart from anything else, I am trying to reduce the number of small plastic items I am using. (I don’t think I am doing very well on this, as I have a huge backlog to get through!)

Re: Respecting the customers - I silently cheered that part of your post - I am genuinely angry about the Liberty a/c debacle and will never buy anything from them again once I have got rid of my BD credit. (I will also not buy from Next beauty again after MissBoux’s expose.) Chucking in old and/or faulty products into an expensive a/c and then sending out replacements with £5 stickers on is beyond insulting.

On a more positive note:

I did love those CB stockings last year - not impressed by the Xmas edits this time round.

I think my favourite edit was that two drawer purple box from CB last year. I got it massively reduced and it was a fantastic bargain.

Mind you, it’s hard to beat the huge box of free full size goodies I got from Boots a couple of years ago with, I think a £30 purchase! I don’t expect to see that kind of bargain again!

I've also got the luminous skin edit with the code. Ran straight to CB and tried CBAFF as soon as I got the email, ran here to tell you all it worked only to find you all already knew. I love that we all know the drill with CB edits now 😆

I bought the skin ones as well. Wasnt going to bother but the discount swung it had account credit as well. 🤩

I like the look of some of the fragrances in the CB fragrance edit but there’s too many vial sizes, even with the discount it doesn’t feel worth it for me as I wouldn’t use the EM or the JM one.
I was tempted to order to use in my Xmas gift sets but I’ve already got enough for that (I can be sensible sometimes 😇…. She says whilst simultaneously looking through The White Company Sale despite having ordered the advent calendar 😅)

I wasn't intending to buy the CB fragrance edit but I had the £20 voucher code from the BAC and £20 in credit, so it only cost me £3.95 postage, which made it a no brainer.

@purplepompom75 Thanks for the tip, just bought two edits. I don’t actually need anything but I have told DH he can buy them for me for Christmas. Hopefully by then I will have used up more stuff!

I picked up the fragrance edit as I want to try the Next to me or Nothing one. I'm gifting the Jo Loves, and I must have the right skin type for the EM fragrances as they all smell okay on me.

The code also worked on the Overnight Edit so I got that too for the Murad. There was also a Perricone MD vanilla lipbalm on offer which came to £2.77.

Did anyone else notice the free samples in CB and understand how you qualify for them? There were a few Byoma/laneige/Krave things but it says you have to spend £40 and doesn't specify on what. I tried a few different things but couldn't get them to add.

I'm not actually interested in any of them, just curious! For a moment I thought maybe they were trying to capitalise on SNK's current lack of samples, but they don't really feel equivalent

You get to add them if you spend £40 on k beauty.

@namechange0998776554799000 I was the same a few days ago when I was buying something, I couldn’t understand why the items weren’t adding despite me having well over £40 in my basket. But I realised, as Ova said, that the offer applies when buying Kbeauty stuff
