Face lift - how do they look to you?

Do you know IRL anyone who has had a full face lift Can you tell, how do they look after a few years?

I am specifically interested in the external view as I know we don’t always see ourselves as others see us.

However if you have had a full face lift/neck lift I would also be interested in your views.

I have looked at a lot of before and after but there is so much photo editing these days it’s hard to tell what is real and what isn’t.

I knew a pretty older woman who had a face lift, she looked good. Lovely face. But… her body and posture Didnt match her face.. so it all screamed Cosmetic Surgery!!!! She was a bit overweight, a bit unfit, very Late middle aged typical. But then, this youthful face on top. Tricky! Also, her DH was clearly the same age as her body!

I am the opposite of this! I have a youthful (relatively) body and posture and then this old face top 😂😂 I look really strange naked.

I'm thinking a face lift can't be worse than my current face which is giving ancient tortoise.

I really don't see the point of fat transfer. I had it done to even out my boob post lumpectomy and while it initially looked fab, it very quickly reabsorbed and the effect was lost. So unless you're having it redone every year or 2, you'll lose the effect.

Why do you hate to say it? That’s great! Good for her.

I hate to say it, because I’d rather say spending all that money is not worth it, but I think if I could afford it I’d probably do it.

The older celebrity that I think looks amazing for her age is Julianne Moore. She's in her early sixties now so must have had something done to look as good as she does, but I'm no expert and certainly can't see what it is. Presumably that's what a very good facelift looks like??

Gwyneth has just had a good one too.

My step-mother had one in her mid-50s and I thought she looked lovely and refreshed. She was always a pretty woman and I think the face-lift extended her youthful appearance.

Yeah but she'll never look younger, as bone starts to recede and skin starts to thin, hands, feet, arms etc all look their age. You cannot escape ageing, tighter face or not.

I noticed someone once who had everything done, face, boobs, lips - the works - face, body, hair. It was interesting and I thought about it afterwards, because she had a great figure, and her face all seemed to be done fairly well, in particular her jaw line looked good, but it was also very obvious that nothing was natural. It was also obvious that she was about 70. I couldn’t work out how I knew her age but I did, she looked objectively good, but absolutely not younger. Of course I don’t know her aim, maybe she wasn’t trying to look younger but if she was, it didn’t work somehow, she just looked like a 70 year old with a load of (good) work done. Now I think about it, the fact that I could tell, likely means it wasn’t that good. Boobs probably too big and perky to look natural, lips that little bit too big to look real, eyebrows too high. That must have been the give away. And maybe hands? I don’t know

I would have one just need to find the money. I’m not wrinkled but my lower face has sagged and I hate my nasolabial folds. I’m 51 and weight loss has probably made it worse but tbh even before I lost the weight I could see it happening so it’s not like I had a taught face then suddenly it melted.
I don’t want to look 20 I want to look better as a 50/60 year old. It’s quite expensive so probably by the time I’ve saved up I’ll be dead anyway
