New thread and it's welcome to the roaring twenties beauty addicts!

It's been a little quiet on the exciting edit and beauty releases front what with all the advent malarky but summer is drawing to a close and soon those autumn/winter releases and holiday edits will be popping up to tempt us.

@owlpassport thats really helpful / thanks. Just had a look on their website. Apparently can use the B5 then put the peptides over when have dry skin.

My skin preferred the liquid peptides to the advanced. Not surprising as it seems to be the opposite to many people's skin preferences. 🤣
I think there were too many actives in the advanced one. I have meno sensitive skin with rosacea type 1. Although it only lasted me 4 weeks I could see an improvement in my skin.

In the spirit of trying to use “nice“ things rather than saving them for years, I’ve put on the MZ Skin anti pollution face mask that came in something (Harrods maybe?) earlier this year. Whilst one part of my brain remains aghast at the rrp, I must admit that it does feel like a step up from the BoJ sheet masks I’ve been using recently!

But will my skin look any better afterwards? Guess I’ll find out shortly….

After saying I don’t need any more stuff I am very tempted by the new Violette FR Bisou Balm in Chocolat. Might also get the Bisou Jelly Balm in Figue to get the GWP pouch on the website 🫣 Chocolat doesn’t appear to be available on Liberty or OMC yet.

Has anyone been to a JL beauty event? Are they any good? My local JL has tickets on sale for £15.

@Cyclingmummy1 - the £35 event was fun. I have been to some of the free events in store. I am less excited at the prospect of the £15 ones, but would be very interested to know what they are like if anyone does go!

Thanks. The packaging is a bit boring this year. A lot of new shades though. I'll see what I think once all the try on videos start appearing on social media.

I got the Swan (in Deer packaging) last year. It's a bit of a regret purchase as I've maybe only used it once, twice at the most. It's too dark for me. I should have got the actual Deer palette.

I am looking forward to trying the new shades, I got Deer last year and use it fairly regularly.

I bought swan in fox packaging, I used it quite a bit in summer as it creates a nice sunset look. I like the new 'Love' palette but I've heard it's US only.

It's the Sephora exclusive but like last year it's US only I expect.

I am not looking at Love as know we won’t get it and toss up between Hope and Wish for me, will use my CB £35 credit towards one. The fact they gave us account credit means we should be able to use both on one transaction.

🤣 well I do quite like the look of Luck but I think that would be too dark for me. I don't think I'll buy it when it gets released in a few days but if that one or Hope go into the sale, I might pick one up then. It's the rose highlighter in Love that I really like 😍
