It's been a little quiet on the exciting edit and beauty releases front what with all the advent malarky but summer is drawing to a close and soon those autumn/winter releases and holiday edits will be popping up to tempt us.

Order with both SNK GWPs arrived and, as with folks upthread, I am disappointed that Debaser is not in Bloom in the scent edit.

Cute wee sizes in the main GWP. These used to annoy me but I now maintain a list which I bung through AI before I go on a weekend/short trip away (with location, date going, duration and relevant info like swimming, flying etc) and it curates a routine. Seems to be keeping the baby sized stash under control.

My main stash is full so no more buying for me till I it down run it a bit down. I have two briefcase sized boxes (one for face/makeup and one for body/SPF/other) for products not in current use. I use them as physical boundaries for my stash build up - otherwise I could just keep going. Do any of you have 'rules' to curtail product backlogs?

Have many people booked h beauty carnival ? I’ve been trying to and Harrods customer services have told me there are no events planned 🙄 the link kindly posted here didn’t work for me.

Jarrolds have a free Clinique gift set when you buy two full size products (one has to be foundation or skincare)

I think Boots have this offer too. I saw it in store yesterday.

I've booked for the metro centre for October. The website said no events but when I got it to search the calendar, it then brought it up.

Could someone send me the oliver fairy details please? I think im the only person who went for the haircare gift set, but i did fancy the perfumes too!

@SummerLimes - this H carnival thing is so weird - there’s practically nothing online - it’s buried in the midst of other stuff on Harrods website and the dates are wrong until you click on it!

It had better be happening/real because I have paid £15 for a Luxe ticket for reasons best known to myself!

I did this one year, bought Hearst magazine boxes in the January sale plus Mintd boxes and AC in the January sale. I was very happy with the majority if products advertised.
I didn’t open them and asked the kids to dump the lot (very carefully!!!) in a home made lucky dip box before December.
I forgot the contents by then and the children were very creative and threw in other lovely things for me (cute little stickers or special chocolates, tiny diary etc).
The total I spent was actually way over a luxury AC in the end but fantastic value and quality (I really rate Mintd and Hearst magazines).

Did anyone spot the 30% off Kate Somerville with code FF30? I saw it on FB but had just impulsively bought a BAC I previously had no interest in so tried to ignore it! I do like the cleanser. I got the Next beauty box with two full size Kate Somerville products and that was a bargain.

@IlovePond @JoRaRaRa the person I emailed in customer service insisted there is no carnival. AI says the dates were leaked early and there will be carnivals. Hopefully AI is correct. Marion in CS was quite uppity with me.

If anyone has bought the bargain Hearst double beauty box offer, please can you tell me if the by Terry is the 04 Sunny flash shade? Many thanks! If it is is makes it a no brainer to buy as had a sample of it and love it mixed in foundation!

I’m pretty sure it is. I opened just to check the contents looked ok before I went on holiday and I recall being pleased with that. However, I’m not 💯 so if someone else doesn’t have the answer then once I’m back in 10 days I can have a proper look.

it’s wonderful stuff and was the main reason I ordered it because I’m coming to the end of a sample of it but I didn’t realise they had different shades.

I think they’ve IT issues, when I initially looked, I could see the date was different to last years. CS person who emailed possibly doesn’t know about it - and isn’t beauty product obsessed …
Plus, I think last year tickets were released end of September 🤞
