It's been a little quiet on the exciting edit and beauty releases front what with all the advent malarky but summer is drawing to a close and soon those autumn/winter releases and holiday edits will be popping up to tempt us.

That's awful @JoRaRaRa. Unfortunately Vinted does seem to have more scammers than eBay but the fact that they're ignoring your proof is terrible. It really puts me off using it, especially after some of the changes they've made recently.
I can't sell anything on Vinted as I live in the middle of nowhere, don't drive and can't drop anything off. It would have been fine if they still allowed Royal Mail to pick things up rather than me having to take it to a drop off point. It's incredibly ableist of them as not everyone is physically capable of leaving the house easily.

Re Vinted, I’ve had two people recently not collect their parcels which is incredibly annoying. I’ve also had a parcel completely destroyed by Evri, they sent me back what was left in a mailing bag, but somehow the item survived. I had a good run with Vinted but getting a bit grumpy with it now.

They actually came through for me this week. Seller didn't collect, said she was in hospital whilst still selling stuff. Month later parcel still in locker. Raised it with Vinted who put it as collected at 17mins past then 19mins past she reported a problem with it as not received. Anyway god knows if she did collect it but Vinted refunded me. Be interesting to see if it is returned. Blocked her for good measure.

They’re currently arguing with me over a package that was completely torn open or stamped on by Evri, saying there’s no evidence it happened in transit and even if it did it wasn’t sufficiently packaged 🙄 It was in a repurposed SpaceNK box and there’s no way I could have even sent it like that if I wanted to!

@user593 this is the annoying thing, I have 2 further issues open at the moment, where I'm the seller for one and the buyer for the other, same issue, item broken in transit and it seems I'm at fault with both 🤣 how could I have broken it before I even had it? I'm also getting fed up of it. I need to sort out my eBay account. I have some never worn Nike trainers I want to sell but no way am I putting them on vinted.

@Hicupping I also have a few items where the buyer hasn't collected and it's been ages. How long do people get? I'm sure I only had 5 days to collect last week 🤔

I've just received my neom candle from Spacenk, I could smell it through the box - gorgeous! Buttt... When I've opened it, the wicks look like they've been cut short, I don't know how I'm going to like it. Despite all the waiting around and it smelling gorgeous, I might have to send mine back. Anyway, if you have a few, I suggest you check that they're ok.

@JoRaRaRa The annoying thing is if I complain directly to Evri they’ll bump it back to Vinted and as I didn’t actually pay for the postage, as the seller, I don’t really have any standing. They’ve come back three times now saying what they have said but won’t tell me how they’ve reached that conclusion. I’ve reminded them they have obligations under consumer law and have asked them to set out their complaints procedure but I’m really just trying to annoy them out of spite now more than anything. In my case, very thankfully, the item was so well packaged the item has survived unscathed (although I’m surprised it didn’t just fall out of the box!).

@user593 they closed down the chat, so I wrote a formal complaint and told them I wanted to escalate and they just keep closing down the chat. It's disgusting actually. Very rude and unprofessional. I also asked for proof, and provided proof that the item arrived intact, but they just closed the conversation down on that too. There's no point buyers paying for buyers protection as it clearly doesn't even do anything.

I had something at the beginning of the year sat at a buyers post office for nearly 5 weeks before getting returned. I reminded them a couple of times to collect, they said they would and never did. There's supposed to be a time limit by which the item is returned to sender but not in every case clearly.

It was only an £8 sale so I didn't stress over it but Vinted is a wild west of outcomes.

Well mine didn't move for a month. Listed by Evri as still there waiting for collection. I think they get 5 days but don't quote me on that. Just dug out the tracking code and apparently they have until 2nd August to collect from Parcel shop. Strange.

Both my non collections have been returned fairly swiftly (I hasn’t even noticed they hadn’t been collected to be fair, I sell a fair bit and don’t track everything!) but it’s annoying the buyer doesn’t suffer any consequences for having wasted my time.

If you don't want the hassle of sending it back, you could always get a candle warmer. Amazon have some very reasonably priced ones currently. I've just bought one for my mum as I'm worried about her with open flames given she isn't steady on her feet anymore.

How long depends on the method - I think it's only a few days if an InPost locker (4 or 5?), but over a week (8/9 days?) if it's Evri at a post office, or Royal mail.

I did 'fail to pick up' once as a buyer - but actually I did try! It was an Evri parcel, in theory waiting at my local post office - but they didn't actually have it. It was weird - I got a notification via vinted to pick it up, but staff couldn't find it (they normally find things very quickly), and Evri tracking said it was at their sorting centre, and hadn't actually got sent on to the Post office, and never was! I did keep in touch with the seller throughout - it was definitely not their fault.

Sorry you've been having such a bad time with Vinted - they have definitely gone downhill for service and resolution.

These Vinted stories are awful ! I don’t sell anything I give away or just use them totally out if context , eye cream on face , serums on legs 😂 I am a confessed box stroker so I love my stash if randoms and when I see my niece or my friends I bring out the box and let them choose. Given what a few of you have said I think I’m going to have a sort through and take some to my charity of choice ‘ Shelter’ I volunteer there once a week and have got some great bargains so that seems fair .
I will say I am such a goody two shoes buyer . I may ask for a 10% discount because I am so over buyers protection when it means so little for either seller or buyer. But if it’s a bargain I just buy at asked price and I am up at that locker as soon as it’s delivered and add feedback . I’ve been very fortunate buying I’ve not as yet had an issue . It’s criminal how those of you have been treated .

On a vaguely related note, the Cult Beauty order I placed this afternoon got delivered this evening! It was only down as standard delivery - but came via Uber, same day?! Not had that before.

@JoRaRaRa I will PM you some email addresses, that I have saved from one of FB groups should I ever need them as I am sure the day will come sometime. You could try reasoning with them if you have any fight left in you.
