Hmm, i dont think Fenwick is for me. I think ill be going SNK, CB, possibly LF and maybe Boots Skincare as an extra🫣 Need to make my mind up about Selfridges FAC. I knew it was too good to be true saying ill only have 1 or 2🤣

Does anyone have a crystal ball and could use it to tell me which BACs will sell out? I really want the F&M one, and possibly Anthropology, and the CB one, but I know my brain is really going into 'my preciousssss' mode with these so I'm trying to make myself sit with it for a few days. Have I got time to try to be a grown up about it do you think? The only one I'm a bit worried about is the Cult Beauty one because it looks like really good value, but I'll hopefully be able to order that using the early access link.

This is my first BAC-buying year so not sure how measured I should be.

Also for those that have quite a fixed way of thinking, how does this marry up with trying to use up my stash? It doesn't does it? I've got a spreadsheet and everything. The little goblin in my brain is saying 'no spreadsheet, only precioussss'.

@DidILeaveTheGasOn it's hard to predict really. I think all of the beauty ones were available in September last year.

Based on last year the CB version with the fragrances (that can't be shipped internationally) will sell out fairly quickly but ordering the day of release shouldn't be an issue for getting one.

Others will be around for a while but things tend to hot up and start selling out through Sep into October. Harrods Beauty is likely to be gone by some point in September.

It tends to be a snowball effect - once one or two of the 'big' calendars start to sell out then it focuses minds and others start to go too. Last year there were some that hung around for quite a while. I think it might have been October before Liberty finally sold out.

The only one that will probably sell out within hours is the Selfridges Fragrance.

This group and other advent enthusiasts are probably in the minority. I think most calendars start to sell more once summer is over and the 'normies' start paying attention to Xmas related things. 😁

I love this, I will be adopting it as a motto from now on.
I also donate any unwanted items to the hygiene bank. Mostly because I cba with selling them, but I also like the idea of someone on a low ebb getting a really nice cleanser or mascara to use

@OvaHere I wouldn't be surprised if the selfridge's calendar sells out in about 20mins. I hope there's a cap on how many can be bought otherwise resellers will just buy them all up in one go.

Edit to add. Selfridges ships internationally too. Not sure whether they can with this amount of perfume but that's potentially a factor too.

They don't ship perfumes internationally though 🤔 I think if anyone is outside of the UK and want it, they'll need to get it posted to a UK address.

Thanks. I wasn't sure about the perfume situation. Still not fancying my chances unless they price it high at which point I may not buy it either.

Re early a/c buying:

My ‘normal’ DF wouldn’t even consider thinking about a beauty a/c until mid-November! I persuaded her to get the Boots skincare one last year, but she only cracked when they reduced it/had an offer on!

I really need to take a leaf out of her book!

Given that very few companies have told us the full contents of their a/cs, I can’t get excited about whether any of them sell out or not.

CB a/c, (the non-fragrance calendar), hung around for ages last year, ditto GB and Liberty’s was still available in October. As I don’t like Liberty’s at all this year, if it sells out whilst I am still pondering, it will be a relief of sorts. I am, however, vaguely interested in the men’s option.

I did regret letting the LF fragrance escape last year, but I have bought lots of perfume recently, so am less bothered this time around.

I must also remember that I bought the bargain FS Arizona Bloom TKMAXX earlier in the year and passed it to DH to give me for Xmas. Plus I bought myself the relatively bargainous Chloe Credus from CB after the JL event for my Xmas birthday present to myself!

If you're referring to the Wildsmith Copper Peptide cream in the F&M AC then I agree that would also be a standout product for me. The Wildsmith Copper Peptide serum was in their 2024 AC and I loved it - I repurchased it from Vinted.

My DSis gets me a BAC each year, so I'm hoping to just stick to the one (hopefully it will be Harrods if she managed to get it). I will try and get the Selfridges FAC - if anyone else plans to camp outside the Manchester City Centre store to get one too let me know 😁

I'm the same, I think we'll be incredibly lucky to get my hands on one. I might sign up to some influencer channels on Instagram including the reseller ones. We did ok with Harrods thanks to mrsbnow 😊 but part of me thinks that Selfridge's won't have the same quantity as Harrods and it seems to have more people after it if insta is anything to go by.

A lot of advents will go on sale. But when they do most sell out fast.

I followed it closely and every generally considered luke warm BAC went on sale at one point.

The SE special edition CB and the big FACs (LF, Harrods, Selfridges) wil sell out instantly.

SpaceNK was still available through october. The Fragrance one went on sale. Even ordered one in december I believe.

The Harvey Nics Frag went on sale as well. But was sold out in days after that. Bought 2 of those. But people were lukewarm about that one. There was no full size bottle in there for example.

But all of that can change due to competition and contents.
