Here's hoping for lots more spoilers, bargains, discount codes, and maybe a little self-control (although judging by threads 1 and 2, that seems unlikely! 😄)

I’m quite relieved that I’m not tempted to overboard this year (unless of course there are discounts!). I think it will be Vogue or F&M for me.

Need to see CB and Sephora before making a decision.

Quite disappointed by SNK, not a wow calendar like last year. Glad I've pre-ordered the Harrods BAC now . Will wait to see if I go for a 2nd one, but it won't be SNK.

@TracyBeakerSoYeah the AB body cream really puts me off. I've got that product already and have spent 12 months trying to hate pan it as hand cream. So I shuddered a bit seeing it in the advent. I know I can't expect the Rich Cream or the Retinol every year but it's my least favourite AB product apart from the eyelash serum.

I don't want piss on anyone's chips as it is a good value calendar if you haven't tried or don't have a lot of these. So just by way of balance for anyone thinking of buying it these are my rundowns of some of the items I rate

I like the Naturium body washes, not tried this specific one but generally I'm a fan.
The Kosas Soulgazer mascara is a lovely one (I have one open and a back up)
Medik8 serums are almost always worth it and expensive too (I have this one already to try sometime soon)
Caudalie products are always lovely IME although I haven't tried this one
Ole Henrikson lip treatment is a really good formula (out of all the ones on the market)
Fenty Gloss Bombs also v good product (but I have 3)
I've heard the Kulfi lip oil stain is good and very long lasting. I quite fancy this but not a reason to spend nearly 300 quid.

Another who isn’t wows with Space NK, it’s a good calendar but doesn’t wow me and only a handful of products I would actually want to buy so am on the fence. My indulge points would cover just under half of it but could also buy a Hourglass holiday palette with my points.
I have pre-ordered Vogue and am hoping Sephora is also good and then looking forward to see more of Glossybox.
My beauty and makeup stashes are full so realistically so do need anything.

@OvaHere yes I think it would have been better if SNK had put the shampoo/conditioner in or even the body wash in.
Though the face oil would have been a nice treat.

I haven't tried the Naturium body washes yet as I'm addicted to the Necessaire Hinoki one.
I managed to grab a few when LookFantastic were selling the full size for £7.50 instead of the usual £22 - 25.

I have had an anaphylactic reaction to Bees, so that’s out too. Unless it also comes with an epi pen?

This is the thing. There's a lot that could be bought with £275. It's not a whim purchase.

Talking of Hourglass I keep reminding myself there's all the holiday sets and seasonal collections that will start appearing from September. I'm bound to want some of them. Maybe I'll end up with some i can refill last years calendar box with. 😁

Years ago they checked out the ingredient list of La Mer. It was the same as Nivea lmao.

I just checked BD and it gets worse. The La Mer creme is just 15ml, Saltair body oil and Tatcha are mini's too supposedly.

Im really not interested in 2 showergels either (ok, 1 being bathstuff but potatoe, potato).

I really have to think about this one. Getting some stuff of Vinted might be easier

Both are on INCI and the first ingredient in La Mer is algae extract. Nivea doesn’t have that in as far as I can spot.

There are buckets of Nivea products and I haven’t looked at all of them though.

ETA I wouldn’t pay £85 for a 15ml pot of La Mer but it is at least a size available on their website not a made up sample size value.

Funnily enough I thought my DOD in last years Liberty BAC would be La Mer Lip Balm.
Opened it a couple of months ago & it's brilliant, a little goes along way .
Got rid of all the rough peeling skin on my lips.
I also use it on my cuticles too & a stubborn dry patch on my left elbow that's gone now.
Its like a minty revved up version of the Superbalm that Liz Earle used to make.

I think last year's SNK was way better. It just hasn't got that WOW factor. I do like this year's, but I'll be flogging that CT wand. Waiting for CB, LF, and will look again at Elle that I had earlier dismissed.

I’ve gone for Liberty, rewards voucher and beauty drop credit made it £0.

That's a good one. I may have to appraise CB in it's entirety when we get the full list despite saying earlier it's probably not for me.

Hmm that was quick. I wonder why it was taken down.

Forgot to mention it was the base ingredients. The difference was the Kelp. I believe Lidl made a cheap dupe of the La Mer. People went crazy for it.

I’m out for the SNK, not interesting at all for me, if it’s the real deal that is.

JM, looks nice, but I just see lots of landfill with all of the little fabric bags.

I may buy F&M this year, or wait to see the Diptyque one.

Ah, Ok. But things like glycerin are in many high and low price brands and I think the brand story of La Mer has always been the algae/ kelp extract for scar/burn healing.

Anyway, I’m not a cosmetic chemist so I dunno what difference the sea products make 😀

Not terrible for £150. I wonder if they are doing 2 again this year?
