I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up. This is not working out so well. 😂

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.
It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

Those make up colours in CB aren’t for me do it isn’t tempting me so far. I don’t wear a lot of make up in the day, just maybe a clear or light gloss/ lipstick. In the evening I might go a little darker sometimes and occasionally reach for the Tom Ford lipstick that was in the 2024 Harrods calendar. Never wear bright red

Wow this has moved fast - I guess it’s peak season. Like JL but £250?

It is a big jump in price this year. JL used to be one of the more reasonably priced advents. I think it was around £175 a few years back and until last year it was always under £200. It is now priced the same as Selfridges & Harvey Nicks and not far off Harrods.

I'm very impressed with those Boots advent calendar discounts. The champneys looks lovely, although I know it isn't quite the high end product type!

I know a few people were looking for their tweenage DDs last year- a good choice on there I think!

It's ordered at this stage so I'll wait and see. Wouldn't want to be tempted to cancel it😀

Also, I've had perfumes before that I didn't really like initially but got to love after a few wears.

I forgot that I do know and like the Jo Malone as I have a small one in my collection. I love the original Delina perfume so hoping I like the exclusif version. I think this year’s calendar is a bit more feminine leaning than last year from comments I have read.

Sorry if it’s already been discussed but does anyone remember when Liberty released their men’s advent calendar last year?

I have too much Bd credit so waiting to see what the men’s calendar contains and if they do a decent GWP in August before probably caving and getting the main AC!

The ordinary Delina is the only one I know. I like it but it's not a favourite. But that's fine.

Dont think cults for me again this year. Lippy and liner too dark and blush too pink.

(Especially for me - ADHD - I get very excitable about new things / reveals and also more notably, acquisition)

I think wearable is subjective. It depends on your skin tone. To me this is a lipstick for someone with warm tone skin.

I actually really like all those shades but yes I have an olive skin tone. Im half considering Cult now where I wasnt before

Not impressed with CB makeup colours. Think this one is also likely to be a no for me.

I’m olive as well, but I’m a cool toned olive. Warm lipsticks don’t suit me at all. I usually like berry colours.

Another one not loving the colours in CB. Still, on the plus side, it's one off the list, so makes the decision for the second calendar slightly easier!

Thats interesting im going to show my ignorance now but id thiught ALL olives were warm toned

Maybe . I'm neutral / cool and it looks great on me.

Right. JL has now been officially ordered since my Topcashback gift card eventually came through. Free named day delivery, so I have gone with Saturday 5th Sept. Excited!

Looking forward to Neom reveal. I love Neom. I know it isn't for everyone, but there's nowt of theirs I don't like (and I make my own candles so I use their essential oils to make my own 'off brand' Neom candles. Win win for me 😀)

I must not buy crap in order to justify M&S again this year. It will have gone up again anyway. I reckon £70 this year plus whatever it is you have to spend. I Do Not Need Anything from M&S (except food!)

That’s exactly what some of the companies selling a/cs do @hattie43 - it’s an opportunity to offload unpopular shades/products and things they got for free from suppliers. I guess the trick is to find the ones that do this the least!

I liked a lot of what was in Liberty last year and some products were well-sized. Harrods is the one appealing to me most atm, (although the OB stuff would be straight in the bin/on eBay/donated!)
