I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up. This is not working out so well. 😂

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.
It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

I'm not sure about the blush shade knowing how pigmented these blushes are but I don't have this one and I think it's better than the very dark one last year.

The yellow looks like the Byoma jelly cleanse yellow and gbe height would fit too

I forgot how pigmented the Patrick Ta blushes were - ended up having to restart my makeup as looked like a clown the other day

It's very bright, it's not one I'd buy but I'll probably use it if I get that calendar. When I first used the dark one, I put wayyyyy too much on 🤣 I've managed to do it now so that I don't look like a clown.

Hi everyone, I’ve been setting myself homework to read this thread so that I’m up to speed by 1st September! Had a rush of blood to the head and ordered the Harrods FC despite knowing for sure I only like a 1/4 of it (possibly a third) .. think Sephora is going to be too makeup heavy for me personally. F&M looks beautiful but can’t justify as I need more everyday ‘workhorse’ contents
JL is a no as I’m hoping to get a ziip halo as a late bday present in Black Friday sales so don’t need the FOREO
last year I was restrained and only bought Glossybox and boots skin - both of which were great and kept me going for ages. I’m excited to see SNK and CB obvs. Thanks for all the info & insight so far!

Whats with all these dark colours in lipsticks , so many dark berry / browns or red . I don’t know anyone who wears colours like this not even in winter . We all wear pinks or peaches . Are they using calendars to offload unpopular shades .

Hmm. The lipliner, lipstick and blush are all wrong for me so I suspect Cult will not be my calendar this year.

I'm feeling the same. If there's some amazing skincare I may be willing to overlook the make up. I don't hate any of it but it's not what I'd go for.

Thanks for sharing @JoRaRaRa Agree with @Talisin and @hattie43 the curation of the make-up shades feels odd.
This seems to be a theme with CB. I recall they had a pastel green, blue and pink ND palette in their AC last year.

Found a swatch of Hourglass Roar on YT (assuming the shade is correct as it doesn't say on the picture). It's more orange red than the photo suggests.

I've always thought that the unpopular / dark lipstick shades were included in ACs (definitely the case in your everyday beauty boxes) due to being unpopular.

The only other explanation is a forthcoming 70's beauty trend we aren't aware of yet with bright pink cheeks and aubergine lips! We just need the blue eye shadow..

That's the issue with including makeup, the shades can be so hit and miss. I could make everything work in what has been revealed so far but I do have blush blindness so will need to remember to use a light touch. Last year both natasha denona mini palettes had colours I just wouldn't use. As the 2026 one stands I am still interested at the moment.

It must be really hard to get universal makeup into calendars - I guess ideally you could order with “prefer brown/pink/berry lip shade” or whatever to cater for different skin tones etc, but that would be a stock nightmare!

That's a good point actually. Like when Elemis do their TSV on QVC every year and you usually get a choice of three colours / fragrances.

But yeah, they would cock it up.

I'd like to see someone do four 'shade' options; Winter / Spring / Summer / Autumn and I would probably still buy all four

I think this is why I was drawn to JL. It isn't heavy on make up. They have a cherry lip oil, CT glow thingy and a lip pencil, can't remember what else. I would far rather get neutral but luxurious stuff like La Mer Lip balm.

lol @BeanNaGealai @pinkchampagne1 if you put the contents into AI and tell it what you currently know you love, it can reassure you a bit that there’ll be something that works for you!

I suppose the justification is red = xmas. Really though I think it's more about shifting colours that don't sell as well. They're not horrible colours at all and some people can really rock a red or deep coloured lip. Most of us look for pink/peach/mauve/nude shades for regular wear though.

I've noticed these browny orangey almost grungy lip colours a lot recently in edits, gwps etc. I think it's the whole 90s grunge look. I don't really wear them, I tend to stick to dusty pinks and roses, nudes and occasionally a coral. I would wear the pink blush but not often and I already have 'shes a doll' which is a bright pink too, so I'm not sure I need or even want 2. I can imagine that a lot of this makeup will go up onto vinted.

I like the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray though and would be excited to try the WA mascara.

The Lisa Eldridge isn't red. It's a very wearable browny pinky nude shade - I have it already. It's subtle and wearable. The Violette is a balm so can be worn lightly or built up.

As others have said, those aren't good colours for me. I don't get to wear makeup that often so I'd rather have things I'll actually use. Perfume and makeup are quite tricky in calendars which is why I'm glad they reveal the contents so early. Plenty of time to mull them over which is most of the fun. In fact, when you add in the excitement of reveals, discussions and comparisons, they're incredibly good value. It's not just the contents, it's the months of anticipation 😁

@ClutteredPalace this is true. I enjoy opening them but I enjoy these threads and the lead up even more. Not sure what that says about me. 😂

I bought it blindly last year and liked a few of the fragrances and gave my DH the more masculine ones. I am sure there will be some I like…hopefully!
