I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up. This is not working out so well. 😂

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.
It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

I just asked chat gpt what time the scent seeker tote first went on sale as I thought it might follow that pattern. 6am apparently, so if I have to set an alarm to check all week, so be it.

They were lovely. A really good selection. The box was enchanting. There was a little tale of the forest on the little boxes containing the items too.

I have a meeting at 1000 and I’m fully expecting it to drop then. I intend to have a very important phone call that I have to step out for. (AND remember to move away from the floor to ceiling glass windows).

Unfortunately, my office is small and has floor to ceiling windows. On the plus side, it looks out on the car park so nobody should be looking in then.

Maybe I’ll go to the stationery cupboard. That has no windows. And there are never any supplies in it any more so nobody is likely to walk in on me.

Sorry, but literally baffled by people thinking ChatGPT actually knows anything. It's just a shit version of Google. Of course the BAC is statistically more likely to be released in a one week period than a specific one day period. Setting up an agent to check if it's released is a good idea though.

It’s just a bit of fun. I do understand what an LLM is and how they work (my background is software). I don’t actually think it knows when it will be realised.

I wasn’t prepared for the JL one yet, I’ll have to have a look at that later; I think I’m safe to wait a while on that one.

JL is actually growing on me. I’m currently reading up on the UFO mini- this may sway me (I have some vouchers to use up too).

@OvaHere there’s a week of myJL beauty rewards, one each day, so maybe the FAC access will be later this week

Having been determined to not buy any other calendars this year because I’ve made my Frankenstein one I wake up to an Avant email which is tempting with the calendar at £109 but 10% off for pre-order and then I had a look at John Lewis and I’m very tempted as I’d use most things so I’m now in a quandary!

I wonder if I could hold out for Avant to be in a sale at some point, is that likely? £99 seems ‘cheap’ after browsing the more expensive boxes!! But I have only had one of their moisturisers from a beauty box before so no idea if I’ll actually like the majority of the contents… Aaargh!!

Think I’ll have to start a spreadsheet.

There's not much love for Avant on here. General consensus is that they inflate their RRP so that beauty boxes seem more valuable than they actually are.

I woke up at 6.30 and checked then went back to sleep again.

Would it be reasonable to assume if it's not there by 12pm then it won't be today? I'd like to get stuff done. 😂

DH wants us to go out to do something specific. I was thinking of telling him "after 2pm - do you think that will be safe? I can't spend all week saying "Not today".

I've just thought the same. If it's not online by midday, I think I'll go for a walk and clean the bathroom, make use of my day off. Also had the fastest shower of my life this morning 🤣
